I AM praying for you. Keep in mind that several former military personnel as well as some presently active police personnel participated in the insurrection. And the planning of it was most likely an inside job. I’m of a generation who remembers experiencing overt racism first hand. Therefore, I never put much faith in other peoples’ continued civility. I’m saddened by these recent events, but not shocked. Hopefully with the installation of this new president, the USA can end its four year digression and begin a new era of recovery and progress; progress which includes new social reforms which insist upon more equitable law enforcement and address the most recent the scarring of America.

And until this nation addresses, really acknowledges, REPENTS AND makes REAL efforts to repair the damage from the horrific, repulsive acts of slavery & jim crow era it will remain a nightmare unfortunately. There's absolutely no way a house or nation that claims to be UNITED can survive if it's divided and it CANNOT claim it trusts in God. Unfortunately other countries are demonstrating to us what it means to be united, and not always in a good way, while this nation continues to hold certain races down. Seems to be an unending cycle of a different version of the Holocaust. And in all of this, as believers, we have to become REALLY good at CASTING OUR CARE on Jesus & not allowing fear or hopelessness to overtake us! HE sees all & knows all & is STILL in control! @TheColeLife3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jennifer 👋🏻 I LOVE how you can still love and pray for us despite interpreting things differently. Different perspectives don’t prevent the Body from loving one another. Regarding your viewpoint, I wholeheartedly believe the police, government and law enforcement were doing many many things to stop the riots and violence during the summer. Our comments in this video though were simply pertaining to the peaceful protests that occurred, not the violent ones. Our issue was with the law enforcement that started the violent response against peaceful protests and even beat peaceful protesters, all caught on film. That was our issue. Praying for you and love you as well.

To the Cole Family I so appreciate you speaking out about the recent events involving the storming of the state capitol here in the District of Columbia. I like how you broke it down from both sides. As an African American woman and Christian myself I also know firsthand what it's like living here in America and seeing the Injustices against us as people of color. It is like we are living in two separate Americas one for for white and one for people of color. I must say when you made the comment about what happened at the state capitol was white privilege on its greatest display. I appreciate you as a Caucasian man acknowledging white privilege. And yes we must be empathetic not only to the wrongs that happen against people of color but to all people even police. One of my favorite quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King jr. " Injustice anywhere is a threat to Justice everywhere". Yes we as believers should be praying for this nation, to be healed and unified. Asking God to help us forgive. And that more of our white counterparts will open their eyes and hearts to the experience of people of color. We can only move forward when we all can acknowledge that the problem of racism and all that it entails still exists. Ill keep praying. To answer your question if that were black people or people of color storming the state capital like the trump SUPPORTERS did. I would still HAVE been enraged. As a believer in JESUS CHRIST we have to see the world as he does. So to me wrong is wrong and right is right no matter the skin color. I SO APPRECIATE YOU GUYS KEEP PRAYING GOD IS DEFINITELY OUR STRENGTH. I LOVE HOW Lexie BROUGHT UP ROMANS 8:28. VERSE 35 and 37 came to mind for me 35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 37. No in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. WE GOT THE VICTORY! This is something that has been going on for so long. There are some of us that either are in denial. I'm a 59yrs. Mother and grandmother, I've always taught my children to stand up for themselves. What you saw at Capitol Hill vs BLM protesting isn't shocking to me. This was an inside job! I'm not against police officers, I have a problem with the ones that hate my people. This is what a lot of us have been saying for a long time. We have had more people who live in America that are domestic terrorist, lift knows I've been saying this for a long time. I remember the day MLK died I was seven, my family cried sitting around the tv. It's Been A Long Time Coming But I Know A Change Gonna Come Oh Yes It Is By The Grace If Our Heavenly Father,🙏🏾

Around the end of 2019 that gave me a vision and I saw gas mask and he also had me to cry out and travail and I didn’t know why, until four months later. God prepared me. And as I’ve watched all the things that’s happened in 2020, God is moving and tilling the earth. He’s overturning soil that has been segmented for so long , he’s doing a new work. As Christians we just have to continue to pray for covering from and understanding.

Sweethearts I am not American but after studying American history the founding fathers in writing you'll constitution it was never meant for the minority the native American and black people to own , be educated and thrive in what the white people now call their land , America was about equality and freedom for all but over the decades and realizing that they need blacks , immigrants to fight , work and build because they own either could not of done it alone or just did not want to do it so a little bit of freedom was extended by still wanting to be mass undercover but when trump came into power he came saying the things that a whole lot of people believed and felt but was afraid to before , trump ripped the plaster off the festering wound that was oozing for decades in America , America has always been a racist country but on the down low all the while trying to portray their self as a democracy country a free country when that was always a lie but with trump all the hateful racist people was no longer afraid to say how they felt because they had trump encouraging them on forgetting that thanks to the internet the whole world has been watching , what happened on the 6th was wrong in every way but not surprising to us in the rest of the world , we were watching the arrogance and blatant disregard for the rules and laws by trump and the Republicans party allowed him to run rampage for those years , these people are not patriotic or have love for country it is about greed and power , in order for a person to be free he first has to know that he is a captive and become educated in how to become a , not every battle is fought on a battlefield but a lot is won through educating oneself because once educated they can't fool you and keep you in ignorance , my heart breaks for my people but this thing this hate is not new and not surprising , I don't have the answer but I know who does God Almighty and I will keep praying , be safe

How do we go into this dark world and let them know Jesus is king, when we are apart of the darkness. This is beyond painful. Nothing surprised me. Not them storming the capital. Not the police reaction to the violence. Not even some white Americans reaction. So I don't feel the hurt that African Americans are expressing because it was always that blant and in our faces. It's just that for white Americans it was front and center and now they can't dispute any longer that white privilege exist. What got my goat is white Americans was enraged when they felt Colin Kapernick/football players was disrespecting the flag, national anthem, and the military when they kneeled during the national anthem and yet when white Americans stormed the capital they took down the American flag and raised a Trump flag. Where is the outrage? Where is the animosity they had for Black's kneeling for so call disrespecting the flag? They said it was unpatriotic. Even though Colin and Blacks kept reiterating that the kneeling wasn't about the flag but to shed light on the injustice of police treatment of blacks. Where are those indignant voices? I'm listening, but all I hear is crickets.

I’m not surprised also. I knew Trump wanted to declare Martial law . When are black people going to see that we are not seen as human beings to many white Americans or Europeans As for the police, their silence says it all . They all are guilty. They’ve always had white supremacist within the police force.since the beginning .Unfortunately in life , before change can happen there must be some ugliness. I believe what God is showing us is that black people are very strong and resilient. We have been raped ,lynched , beaten to death injected with poison whipped , spat on, shot , burned alive, but still we survive. And we forgive them , have love in our hearts and yet not seek revenge . This is God’s doing . This is why black people will always be here and the original.

There is a lot of truth in this post. The problem, as I see it, is not solvable. I think this country is getting closer to total collapse. The inequity is getting worse, not better. Although, I think it presents as a class struggle as much as a racial one these days. A lot of elite people, white, black, and everyone else benefit from this current situation - it's no longer just white people at the trough. This is why I believe the Democrats, while seemingly more sensible, do not actually change things when in power. We'll see if they do this time, but I have limited faith after seeing what Obama did (or rather didn't do) for us during his time in office. These politicians all work for the same people, who want to maintain the current system of war, corporatism, prisons, and poverty. They benefit from it. But you can't have this type of massive gap between the haves and have nots and expect things to be stable. If swift action is not taken to make things more equitable, the future will be bleak for all Americans. As a global concept, white supremacy might be inaccurate as it too narrowly confines to a single race rather than the cultural power structures behind it (think China or North Korea as examples). However, white supremacy has validity in America, in that everything has been set-up in favor of white Americans. As you say, this is not surprising, as it was designed for them from the inception of the country. Everyone else was either supposed to get with the program or not be part of their society. A lot of white Americans can't see how they have had advantages in life relative to other races. They are ignorant of the power of race to a degree that others can't afford. They were taught in school until only recently that race does not and should not matter. This is why they see any activism that is non-white and race-inspired as a threat. And that's not to mention those that are openly white nationalist or racist, which actually understand the situation better than most but just do not want a multicultural society. The solutions that have been presented by activists have not created the change that many had hoped for when they began. Race relations are deteriorating rapidly. Many academic/political solutions proposed and mandated are perpetuating racial strife, not reducing or containing it. While some portion of black people and POC have benefited from these causes and policies, the majority have not seen the promised improvements. We are now just seeing never-ending segmentation of people and groups - sort of a slow Balkanization process of American identity. The rise of white nationalism is also part of this identity conflict IMO. It's caused by the feeling of lost rights/privilege but mostly just poor economic conditions. Not many social justice solutions have addressed the reality that most of these problems on a macro level are primarily economic - wealth equals power! This was true of freed slaves and it's still true today. But what's happening is that instead of black people and other POC being given a real economic step-up in this country, we are actually just seeing the decline in wealth for the majority of every group. Rather than black people and POC rising up to equal standing with white people, white people are being reduced down to a lower level financially. Everyone's becoming equally poor. It appears like equality to some, but what is actually happening is a small fraction of society has all the wealth and hence all the power. Some of those elite are black and POC now. They are used to control the masses and act as gatekeepers to keep everyone else in line.

@@scratchpenny I agree with your view on the current situation. Very well put I never really looked at from that point of view and it does make sense. What I do not agree on is Obama. I am not saying that Obama was a perfect president. I whole-heartedly believed that he wanted to do more to help the African American community, but republicans and their minions made it difficult for him to do anything. Even when it came down to doing something about healthcare the republicans gutted it until it became trash insurance and of course, everyone blamed Obama instead of laying the blame where it belonged. Obama’s was fighting a losing battle even before he took office. The economy was in shambles from Bush and yet you had people blaming him as if he put the economy into a recession. Obama did what he could while in office and for that, I am grateful. I do agree though that the problems we face now are not solvable. I do not claim any religions, but I am a spiritual person. The things that are happening now are coming to fruition in revelation. Revelation has to play out. The bible said that man would destroy himself this is also coming to fruition. I am like you we will see what the democrats will do, but I have my doubts of anything changing for African Americans not unless somehow people cure the disease of accumulating wealth and power. Thanks for your comment very eye opening.

Thank you for being so transparent and articulating so well what many of us are feeling. What you are experiencing is what I witnessed first hand as a child. My parents were from the Deep South and I often questioned how they were able to not be bitter . As I grew up i realized it was their faith and belief in God that gave them the fortitude they needed. They had to be that light in a world of darkness. And they instilled that same love of God and the word of God in me and I did the same for my children. That is what will give you the strength and the power to forgive. May God continue to shield and protect you both.
