What an excellent video! I know Mom was nervous, but she did such a great job and I love her honesty. I think Kyuho's idea of renewing your vows and having both sets of parents there would be amazing. Perhaps you could do it in Hawaii or somewhere else that's warm. Maybe Mom could do short flights with rest time in between , if that's possible. And then we all need to see a video on Sarah's parents meeting Kyuho's parents. (Do either set of parents speak the other set of parent's language well enough that they could speak all in Korean or all in English?)

When your mom said "I just want my kids to be happy, above all else".... I wish more parents were like that. I'd also like to point out that Kyuho's mom was equally respectful regarding your decision to be childfree, during the Q & A you guys did with her. And it wasn't that they didn't care. Both moms said they were initially disappointed, but overcame that disappointment, because they put your happiness first. That's really something. I can definitely see those traits in you guys - that same respect and consideration for others.

Oh yes! Have the parents meet in Hawaii! It’s so lovely there. Debbie, I know what you mean about long trips. It IS do-able but not without some difficulty and expense. I have issues that make travel harder and painful. My first suggestion is if there’s anyway to fly business or first class, that’s the way to do it. Yes, it costs an arm and a leg but it’s so so so much better. My doctor also will give me pain medication for trips which also helps big time. And, I usually take prednisone for about 5 days before I go because that also gets my pain levels more under control. If you’re flying into a foreign country, you have to check their laws about pain meds. Some places, it’s a big no no. If you really want to go but just don’t know if you can make it, look up articles about how others do it. And, after you get to your destination, my one suggestion is that if you don’t feel like doing something, stay in your hotel and get some rest. I do that everywhere I go and I don’t regret missing anything. At least I got to go and have fun! 😃

I felt the same way about having kids for a while. But then eventually started feeling unsatisfied with the status quo of my life and ready for a new adventure. I have kids now and love it :D. No one is ever actually fully prepared or ready for kids - that's all part of the parenting rollercoaster!

I agree completely. If you're going to have children, you HAVE to be 100% all in. Anything less leads to disappointment and stress. And I love that your mom understands that your happiness comes first and not pressure or manipulate you into have a child you don't want to have just so she could be a grandmother. Especially with the fact that you two live in Korea, so really, how often would she even see the grandchild? So many parents out there have meltdowns when their children choose to not have children, like them wanting to be grandparents should be given any weight.

You should consider meeting in Vancouver! I think it would be more equidistant from Seoul and Halifax than Hawaii. And this way Sarah's Mom would not need to fly so far, and would still be on Canadian soil and not too far from home if something came up. Hope one day your whole family can come together!! ❤

So enjoyed watching this. I totally get the part of not wanting to deal with the long dark winters anymore. I'm at that stage now. Went from Canada's winters to now Alaska's ...🤦‍♀️.
