Funnily enough, as much as Mr Popo looks like Blackface, he never acts like a stereotype and neither is disrespected in the anime/manga (Mr Popo is a mentor to Goku at some point and the helper of Earth's gods, being at the same level as Goten/Trunks in filler). So Mr. Popo is not really a racist depiction (the only other black character at the time had big lips, but was an competent and smart villain).

Actually an immortal saiyan is a PROBLEM. Because that can always be brought back from the brink of death and never die no matter how close they get (theoretically). Think of it like Cell exploding himself over and over again. I stand power up spam. And it goes double if he’s/she’s fighting someone stronger. He’d/She’d basically be like Mahoraga from JJK.

But if you’re immortal then you’re technically never on the brink of death. You can be hurt but you’re never close to dying because well you can’t die lol. More fitting would be wishing for regeneration because technically you can still die it’d just be really hard.

He doesn't die from natural causes like age and illnesses and been alive since the stone age but he still takes physical damage, and he's "died" cause of it. All it took was putting his head back on his body and he's back to life. Hence he is immortal but not invincible.

Technically Vegeta's wish would work if he is brought to the brink of death and is allowed to heal he gets stronger if he is immortal then you would not be able to kill him but you would be able to bring him to the brink which means he'll just keep healing and getting stronger

A saiyan also get stronger the longer they live. A saiyan prime is when they reach 80 years old so vegeta begin immortal is a good wish and it doesn’t mean he not able to take damage at all for eg goku black and zamazu with people like beerus and champa with hakai no one is really immortal

Why can't people understand that Mr popo was just like a black creature with big red lips that's meant to look fantastical he wasn't meant to look like black face. Context matters people. It typically speaking you could still be beaten within an inch of your life while immortal. Like does it mean you have to almost physically leave this mortal plane but be resuscitated or does it mean I just have to take a lot of damage to the point where I would be dead. Just think about it You're immortal and I'm thrown into a wood chipper. Immortal doesn't mean invulnerable so I could still beat someone within an inch of their life but they can never actually die so they should still technically get the bonus
