We took an Olympic Peninsula loop drive in summer 2024. While we didn't see everything, as this place is vast, we caught plenty of highlights. This temperate rainforest is full of life and adventure, and we captured footage of:
-Redmond, Oregon to the Pacific Coast (snow to sunshine within hours!)
-The historic 101 Pacific coastal highway
-The famous Hoh Rainforest
-Various wildlife, including elk, deer, and bald eagles
-The Quinault Rainforest and Lake Quinault Tour
-The Historic Lake Quinault Lodge
-Cape Flattery, the northwesternmost point of the country
-The Tribal Town of Neah Bay
-The picturesque town of Port Angeles
-Misty Olympic Mountains at Hurricane Ridge Road
-Port Townsend's shore
-The Kennewick Ferry to Whidbey Island
This trip is easy to do by car, and the ferry is simple and affordable. Taking your time is worth it as there is lots to see and explore. It's an easy trip from the Seattle or Portland area, but we thought it was worth it to drive across the country for.
