Hey why not a sprinter van and a big tent? You can do your events in the tent, but sleep out in your Sprinter van or set up a station in there or whatever you want.

My in-laws have a 2019? Winnebago on a Mercedes chassis. Their's must be the lemon equivalent to your trailer. Blew the motor up before it hit 5k. Right now the inverter/charger unit won't take utility power to charge the batteries onboard so unless they can get good solar, they're SOL for power. If you go that route I hope your experience is better than theirs!

I saw a video on KZbin of a driver that delivers camping trailers to dealers. He said that all but one manufacturer have issues during delivery. Only thing is he didn't state what that one manufacturer was that didn't fall apart.

Jason, you have a COVID era RV. I know its too late now, but the bet recommendation is NOT to buy one made since 2019. The manufacturers have all been speeding up the manufacturing processes to stupid levels ever since everyone realized they wanted a private space they could control, sometime during 2020. Check out the "RV Wingman" series on YT. Maintenance and repair at dealerships is the issue EVERYONE has right now. Warranty repairs are taking many months too. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and all that... My wife and I repaired and rebuilt two RV's in the last year. Hard work without a proper shop and having to hand make parts like cabinet ends and such in the 100 degree Texas heat this year is not fun. A friend of ours has a Class C and it is in the dealerships more than it is out camping. I have fixed TWO doors that fell off her Class C kitchen cabinets and a table-top that lost its mounting bolts because the Manufacturer gave her a six month waiting list for a repair. My screws in those doors are the tightest in the entire RV. All COVID era workmanship. Not impressed.

Maybe one of those Aussie outback trailers which survive Road Train routes might be something to consider. I45 from the Airline Dr to I10 in H-Town and the detours near TX City Buckee's in the work zone are very rough.

A lot of RV manufacturers are making crap quality RVs the last few years. The class B vans seem to be a bit better quality, but I would stay away from Thor. I bought a Coachman van last spring and really like it. I've been all over the south west with it. Sadly, I had to put it up for sale when I moved.

Don't feel too bad, Forest River makes like 80% of the brands out there... problem is their workforce is unskilled! Doesn't matter if a small travel trailer or a quarter mill motorhome...same crappy QC !

Sorry you are having RV problems. I haven’t owned anything for a number of years, but even 20+ years ago, quality was never that good. I was always fixing something in the all units I owned. I really enjoy the outdoors, but the price of fuel deters me from getting anything capable of pulling trailers. Unfortunately, too old to sleep on the ground.

@@HamRadio2 Heil will work with Icom, but you have to get mics wired for "iC". Icoms have interesting mic wiring.

2 reasons. 1. Statistically it is proven that thumbnails with faces in general, and moreso faces with emotions, get more attention and better retention on KZbin. 2. It's somewhat of a curmudgeon filter - you can always tell who the sad Hams and old fogies are when they complain about it.
