Last week was another one of battling the weather...
But this time, it's not the cold that is the problem...
It's the warmth.
However...
Some cool stuff happening!
I bought some new lighter gates for both barns, and we welcomed some new ewe lambs into the flock (again.)

I wish more people in the world were as kind and sensitive as you. The true love you show towards the sheep and their babies is amazing to watch, no matter how many times we see it! Whether you're happy, sad, mad, excited, disappointed, in love with a new baby, or grieving over a lost ewe or lamb, you're 100% genuine! Keep doing you! God bless and keep you and your family safe.

I absolutely LOVE how you're so true and honest, a very rare trait to see on KZbin and the internet. You keep it real, and that's what matters. Watching all the mini segments of various parts of your farm life is what makes this channel so awesome. You blend them together so well, it's pure brilliant awesomeness. You Sandi are undeniably my favorite lady on the internet. I seriously check my phone EVERYDAY for a notification if you posted a new video, lol, and if not, I go find 1, 2 or 4 older ones to watch again, because I just gotta, ya know, get my "Sandi and her Sheep" fix in!!! Kinsey has definitely come into her own when it comes to herding those sheep!! She guides them to the gate so well, like she's dancing behind them, and then she looks at you with her tail wagging and she doggy smiles so proudly... I can't hold back my huge grin at her!! She's precious beyond measure!! Bella's a big girl now, and before we know it, she's gonna be bred too. How time flies!! But that's how it is when you find someone worthy to follow, to subscribe to, and to love. My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!!!

I am not a farmer, nor have I ever been a farmer, but I enjoy watching your videos because you are so real! You tell it like it is, and you show your humanity. I don't care if you have a bad day because we all have bad days. I'm retired, and with Covid, I don't get out of the house much. Ahhh my sweet girl, you are doing a great job. I love seeing the real you happy , sad, it makes no difference. I just Love you being real, no fakery! we all have those days, lol that's what in part makes you so adorable. Thank you for showing us all the side of farming we do not get to see ( being the non farmers ) It really makes us understand what goings on, so when we pick up our meats at a store we have a better understanding into how it got there. Farming is such a lost art we take for granted. We should teach all are children the skill of animal husbandry in school. As well as farm management. Thank you for all you do dear Sandi, Hugs and Love to you and your Family!

Enjoy seeing the vast number of activities. Nice to see Jess in the barn from time to time. Way to help out there Jess ! Drying the barn out by hand has got to be tough. I wonder if Mark could fashion a squeegee to fit on the telehandler ? Since you finished off the tail-enders are you going to give a summary of the lambs sold in this group ? Cheers.

TIM from Canada so if you were in the barn and you were having a bit of a water leak.. and you have squeegee all your water up and out... suggestion for you if you owe or can get a hold of a leaf blower... Use this it will dry up your water and you will not have any puddles it might be a bit messy but your ground will be dry and it just might keep the ace of your walkways.. same goes when you’re cleaning the pans.. after you were done you can use the leaf blower to blow out the small stuff that is in your way you would be surprised what a battery powered or corded leave blower will do something to look into

There are many examples of tyre scrapers mounted on a frame that is quick attach to the Bobcat boom. They use an old earth scraper tyre cut in half and with one or both sidewalls are shaved down flat and mounted in a steel frame to collect and move liquid manure or bedding (or snow) by being pulled or pushed in front of the tractor or skid steer. However they would be too wide to drive down the feed passages in Sandi's barn. For narrow passages we had one which was a pedestrian controlled and steered machine with a curved rubber tipped blade out front and two big 12volt batteries mounted on top of a electric motor chain drive to a simple gearbox driving an axle with twin solid tyre wheels on either end. Two handles on the handle bars (1 for reverse and 1 for forward motion). The more you squeezed the faster it moved. Straight line powered movement and control was easy but steering around corners was a little tricky especially if you were using power to do so. It was designed that all the weight was balanced above the axle for max grip and making it easier to manouver in tight spaces.

Bit my tongue til it turned blue about Lucy's coat and a handful of other YT dogs. Lucy did what the Shepherd did; she got a-hold of her jacket and literally whipped it to death. Having conquered her foe, pranced off to dig some critter in the river bank. Re: spring barn flooding - can a temporary lean-to of sorts be built along the length to give the snow somewhere to slide to and land, so it doesn't melt right onto the barn floor? Finally, Kinsey you're awesome!👍🐺

I’m glad you’re starting to realize that it’s OK to be vulnerable. Farming is a lot of ups and downs and that makes a person naturally emotional, not to mention the emotions that come with being public and creating content and wanting people to like something you put so much time and effort into. You’re one of a very few woman farmers on here and women are more willing to show how they feel because they’re more emotionally intelligent. You’re just continuing your pledge to keep all this real - you have always taken the time to show and explain your lowest lows in farming. You show us the reality that it’s not all perfect, and that’s why we appreciate you!

I love your channel Sandi. I’ve learned so much about sheep and grain farming. Everyday is an adventure with you and the sheep and takes me out of my house for a little while. I had no idea how hard farmers work, especially sheep farmers. The lambs are so very adorable. They are so curious and bouncy. I just wanted to say hi from Horseshoe Valley, Ontario.❤️

Sandi, I love turning your videos on and listening to them as I work on some project. You are so human and so easy relate to. I love the details and the big picture. I have to admit that it's the lambs that bring me in. Living in Idaho, we would travel to see the sheep lambing in February and every spring and fall the herds would be brought through town to take up into the hills for the summer. I don't think I'd ever raise sheep but I have a deep respect for those that farm and raise animals.

I enjoy watching your content so much, Sandi. I am in awe of your energy. You work so hard! Your family are all hard workers, the ideal farm family. I’ve lived in farming country in the US most of my life, but I have no farming experience save working one summer at a grain company recording and filing harvest numbers! But I respect what you do more that I can say.

TIM from Ontario Canada. attention Sandy Brock.. if you use a leaf blower this will dry up your floors… battery powered ones work but did you not have the power.. if you have a long enough extension cord than this will work to get rid of your water and yes the leaf blower will dry up your floors

You could put hay down, so you don't have to walk on the ice if it freezes. I've also heard the is some kind of fertilizer you could also use to stop the ice forming.
