Our first-ever location in Scotland! And our first location immediately was one to remember. We never thought we would ever encounter an abandoned Sea World were once people came for entertainment and joy. But as you can tell during the video the only thing that is left were the last remains of this recreational place. Hope you will enjoy the video.

This was a Sea Life Sanctuary Not a Sea World Attraction. Please do not confuse the two. This sanctuary was taking care of injured and abandoned Seals and Otters and with the attempt to rehabilitate the animals that were rescued. None of the animals were made to preform tricks...like they do at Sea World, visitors could come an watch the Seals and Otters during feeding times.

4:00 - It's a standard fish tank heater for a very small tank, probably a 20L hospital / quarantine tank for small and very small fish. - There is no way in a cold day in hell that would heat anything they have on display, serios, you would need about 200 of them all around the tank for even the smallest 1000L tank. - Hope this info helps, good video's too, keep up the good work. Respect from England.

Great find and video! Don’t hate me, but I’m not sad that it closed down, I think fish (and animals) are better off in their natural environments - and if people really want to see them, there is lots of modern technology available to see things in the wild without harming them. Certainly not all, but some may have been saved & unable to be set back into their natural habitat. It is sad when this occurs. I hope they went somewhere they are being well cared for. One good thing to take from this is there are many children who would never had the chance to see such beautiful creatures on our planet, and learn from them as well as to respect them. Absolutely best place is the freedom of the ocean & seas of course. I was lucky enough to have a father who took us to the ocean many times, as I then took mine, who are now taking theirs, & yes, to see dolphins, shark, starfish, the mana rays, etc. was just beautiful & so exciting everytime. Peace & love to all. Let's keep exploring with Explomo. Very respectful men & I appreciate them for that and sharing their excursions. ✌💗😄to all.

It was own by a company called Sea Life nothing to do with Sea World and nothing like Sea World. They did not make the animals preform tricks or were used to entertain visitors. Although visitors could come and view the animals...and they had time slots for people to come and watch the animals at feeding times.

The "Mull Aquarium" tags you were finding, I think, simply showed who the creatures in those tanks went to. After a quick search for more information I found that they were a catch and release aquarium that permanently closed to move to a new location which is supposed to open in 2025. You will likely not find the original creatures from this place there once it opens, but you would at least be able to see who these creatures went to I believe. (I am not 100% certain that they attained the sea life from here, but I believe that is what the tags indicate.)

the fact that they didnt care about anything other than views and clout to the point of not bothering to learn the actual name of the place is somehow both shocking and completely expected, as is the fact that they put the name sea life in the thumbnail but not in the title so when people search for seaworld it still comes up

Scorpaenidae (Scorpion Fish), they are venomous fish, about a hundred types of marine fish. They are black and white, elegant in motion and dangerously beautiful. As their name suggests, they have a type of "sting" in the form of spines coated with a venomous mucus in their dorsal spines. A simular cousin is the Lion Fish. I wonder where their marine life went once they closed. The lights are probably working for the security guards, who must tour the area for safety reasons. 🤔 But why not lock it up, and secure it from exploring trespassers? You Explomo, I don't mind. Now a homeless person or a curious stranger can easily get hurt. Thank you for your educational video.🐠🦈🐡🐬🦐🦀🐚🐧🐢🐟🐙🐋🦐🦑💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

No need for apologies! Your videos are worth the wait. Even though I have strong opinions on any kind of animal being in captivity only for our amusement, this was still fascinating for me to watch. I remember my Son going on a school trip to Marineland in Niagara Falls; I didn't want him to go, but the kid was so excited. I even tried bribing him to stay home with me so we could go out and buy a new gaming system. I lost that battle and I'm ashamed that I tried bribery on him. I made sure he had enough spending money for food and drinks and knew that he wouldn't have enough to buy an overpriced item at the gift shop. When I met the bus after their trip, he came bounding off the bus with a gigantic stuffed whale. He told me that one of the mothers on the trip bought it for him when he told her we were poor! 🤣 She took me aside later and explained how much he wanted the stuffed whale so she bought it for him. She wouldn't accept payment from me either; she knew we weren't poor but wanted to do this for him because he was so well behaved. I thought to myself that he was a bit old for stuffed animals, but he slept with that whale on the pillow beside him for months. I can't believe I tried to keep him home; he was still a kid afterall. Anyway, it was interesting to see how things were behind the scenes. I doubt that you'll ever put out a video I won't find interesting. Thanks again for sharing this with us. I know I always say that, but I appreciate the time and effort you put into your passion. I hope you enjoyed Bonnie Scotland.

lol to be fair, most places keep animals to make sure they stay safe because it's more dangerous on the outside world where they're getting killed off. As long as the animals are happy in their environment and being well taken care of, they're fine. Especially due to the fact that when in a zoo or something like this, people can't hunt them. So it's to preserve the animals from bad people for the most part.

This place was a Sea Life sanctuary for injured and abandoned otters, Not a Sea World attraction. Animals were not made to preform tricks here. A lot of the information in this video is incorrect, I hope this makes you feel better.

Most of the animals were taken to other Sea Life sanctuaries in the U.K. and most likely there site in Balloch (Loch Lomond Scotland) which is 2 hours down the road from this one.

I ran across a video on youtube with a abandoned restaurant that had a shark. When the restaurant was closed down, they all just left it to die in it's tank, today, it is still there, this massive dead shark, rotting. They didn't even bother to turn it loose back in the ocean. They left it to die.

@@GayBirdHere I did a up to date search on what happened, it turns out it was a taxidermy shark in a tank. KZbinrs didn't exactly say anything, it looks like it was left for dead. Story has it, after the video went viral someone had come to take the shark and restore it. I have never heard of such a thing, I suppose someone out there taxidermies sharks. When you see it, you assume it was left for dead, no back story, you assume the worst.

Not a Sea World .. this was the Scottish Sea Life centre, which specialised in rehabilitation of rescued seal pups. There was not a substantial reduction in footfall, there was a dedicated lack of funding by Merlin., the parent company so they could justify closing it. !
