Jamming pods are targeted, they're separate from your on-board jammer. You need to lock on to a radar (max 1 radar per pod installed, so 2 with default loadout) and hold weapon release to jam them. This completely fucks them up and prevents them from targeting anything. Any missiles already in the air when you jam a Stratolance radar or a Boltstrike will just go stupid. It's much more effective than the laser.

in future when you're doing SEAD, suppression of enemy air defense, when you have arads selected, your target selector will only select targets that emit a radar signature that the missile can track to. It did that at the beginning, and you successfully loosed the missiles, but next time right after they fire, just switch to the jamming pods and jam those same targets. Stratolances, boltstrikes, radar stations or trucks, or naval vessels. The missile wont hit basically anything else, it cant track. But just jam em and they wont intercept the missiles, your buddy, or the nukes. Its not as breakneck topgun shit as using the laser, but it works way better and there is also a unique funny feeling to chilling in the Dusa jamming everything while your team nukes the island and youre just like, this is overlord actual, solid effect on target, over. good luck, see you in boscali
