Will basically when you're jumping a tall jump just keep looking down until you're a few feet away from the jump and then just jump it without looking at it so then it won't scare you and I hope this works for you

I ride horses myself and it’s so fun to watch people try it out on hobby horses! Pro tip: (this relates with riding real horses over jumps) lean back a little before the jump to give your self enough time to collect and balance before the jump!

6:48 I have a tip for you so when you can jump over it, just try to get a slower starting pace and then as you get closer to the jump, you can go a bit faster so then when you go slower, you can have more energy to jump up higher

I think for a jumping tip, don’t try jump at the last minute and give yourself a second to push yourself off of the ground. But my pony monty just doesn’t like jumping- I love your videos and the fact that you show all the mistakes and show your self trying and succeeding after really shows the viewers that is you fall you have to get up and try again❤

I would recommend cantering/gallop one lap around before and then go up to the jump to get momentum Just recommend because that’s what I do and it helps! Instead of just starting at a walk (Like a courtesy circle)

I have a form of hobby horse. I call it a...“✨Stick horse✨”. It has handles,wheels,and a built in bridle. I'm sure it isn't really a hoppy horse just a cheap horse toy they made for money. I named him Surfer and he's white with a brown built in bridle. I hope to get a real one in the future though.

I would reccomend going on etsy or look up the hobby horse amino, if you want to find one for sale. If you are planning on making one I would make sure your fabric is not stretchy and if it is you will need some interfacing. There is also a very good pattern on Esty for a very good price. Hope this helped:)

Tips: jumping on a real horse is actually the same as on a hobby horse. Lean forward as you jump to jump higher + farther. You need a canter or gallop speed and to be able to believe. You had the right idea it’s good to mark your spot.
