I read a “conversation etiquette” book un-ironically because I thought it might lower my social anxiety to have all the expectations spelled out for me… I was wrong it made my anxiety and honestly social skills worse because I internalized some of it and now I notice when others are being rude even more. I’m talking specifically about how you normally “take turns” talking and respect what everyone has to say… but like IRL the most confident loud person always dominates the convo and it causes me more anxiety when people interrupt me because I’ve seen it spelled out that that’s super rude. Lol, I’m just high strung and am sometimes bad at being assertive.
