We forgive you: How Sister Rani Maria’s family pardoned her killer

In 1992, Samandar Singh was a 28-year-old ordinary villager?making a living by farming and doing odd jobs when Sr Rani, professed sister of the Franciscan Clarist Congregation, was posted in Udianagar, around an hour’s drive from Indore. She was in the general vicinity of Singh’s village and worked with the tribal and Dalit communities in Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh) and Satna (MP). She conducted camps informing them about government subsidies and loans and in the process, antagonised the money lenders. On February 25, 1995, Singh stabbed Sister Rani Maria to death. He was caught and sentenced for the crime but Sister Rani Maria's younger sister, Sister Selmy Paul did the unthinkable. She forgave her sister's killer and gave him a new lease of life.

What missionaries do is called brainwashed conversion in return for good education, health etc etc. Why only tribals get converted why not one in cities educated and having all the facilities get converted easily. Once brainwashed no one will speak against what they are taught. This one incident is commendable but not to the extent that there is no brainwashed conversion.

U can love christ... but not forgive someone who doesn't see the wrong in their actions. This person accepted his wrongdoing and had his share of penance. But those others because of whom he wasted his 11 precious years of life??? Where was their repentance? I doubt they even realise or feel guilty about what they did. Totally agree with u miss .Im not a christian but reading about jesus is great.If someone slaps u on one cheek offer d other.No human would do or say that but a divine person such as jesus christ would.But there is a difference between christ n christians.Christ showed compassion but d christians comprising of british military and administraters came to india looted their wealth caused a few million to die in Bengal cos of famine n d unwillingness of d british to help bring food to d people.They then establish d missionary.They arent following Christ miss .Anyway to murder or to harm a person like d nun is totally wrong.

I feel very sad many of our other faith brothers think Christianity is about conversions, it's not true in every sect of the Christian community. But, all Christians want is good for all of us humans.there is never hate which is taught in Christianity. It's all about love and it's tough to be a Christian or follow Jesus. It's nit as easy as it seems just like an example to forgive a murderer of an innocent nun , who wanted to help the poor and make them aware of their social responsibilities. Such an irony she was murdererd mercilessly. Infeel very ashamed of this act. She must have lost her Battle on this worldly planet but her soul will always shine as a good Samaritan. We all come to life to die someday. We should not forget it. We are not on this earth to judge one another. Death is inevitable and unpredictable. Let's respect each other and please keep hate at bay. It's not a solution for any problem. Educate yourself thoroughly before you dig on others and find the truth. Money 💰 is not everything in life. These nuns have sacrificed thier life for service to humanity , they have left thier homes and are posted at different cities only to help and improve the helpless and distraught. Peace be with you. RIP 🙏 🪦 😌 sister. You deserved good life on earth but, I'm sure you are in a better place HEAVEN ✨️👑💕 ❤️
