If this cave system is relatively unknown you should submit a report to the NSS so some of the members can go out there and conduct a study. Bat environments are getting absolutely decimated and cave systems like this can support the bulk of entire species of bat. Obviously it's your decision, but it could make a massive difference.

It is so excellent to see it in high definition, thank you for sharing, it seems like it was just a couple of months ago since our last trip... Hard to believe it was over 25 years ago now. I went through a huge spelunking phase with my best friend. Every weekend we would find a new cave, mostly always in north Alabama/ south TN. After being in any cave for at least 3 hours, everything starts to look the same. We would mark our path with neon orange yarn. The last time I ever went into a cave, we lost where we placed the yarn when we decided to turn back. We were almost 3 miles in. My everything was wet, and i started to really be unsure. Panic is going to be at the front of your mind but it HAS to be pushed to the back of your mind. You have to find your way out. And you have to do it all without hurting yourself. Although you’re underground, there can sometimes be 50-70 ft drop offs down into jagged limestone. You break a limb, especially a leg, you’re sure to die down there. Unless your partner is very competent.

I'm from south central Indiana and your videos are stupid crazy. They're super delicate systems, but they are abundant and very VERY deep! HYUGE respect to you guys for choosing to not disclose some or all of your locations. Freaking awesome.

I definitely enjoyed this one. One of the most intense cave videos of yours that I've seen. Love the cheetah rock with all the black spots!

I want to know if there is an opening you guys are unaware of for those cat prints. That is nuts! Were they fresh or fossilized or hardened like they've been there a long time?

The only thing stopping me from laying face down and scooting through a few inches of water under a large overhanging rock is every fiber of my entire being.

I would love to do this but not crawl through the super tight spaces. I’m cool with going as far as I can on 2 feet and turning back around lol. Also idk how you guys find your way back out in areas that you have to zig zag through multiple places. I’ve tried to find tv shows of people doing this because I love the way everything looks. Shockingly nothing really exists. I’ll be watching your videos.

Are those tracks fossils, Or at least very old and preserved animal prints? Very cool! Also those ropes at the end in the waterfall, from previous explorers or from a water well? Amazing rock formations, especially the giraffe spots 😂 I wonder what minerals cause that!
@ActionAdventureTwins Жыл бұрын
we have no idea. there are people who can determine how old the prints are but we don't know. whatever made them could possibly be extinct by now

Was it soft ground where an imprint could be made or was it stone and fossilized? @@ActionAdventureTwins

@sgwa11 the ground was soft.... which come to think of it might mean whatever made them could have still been in the cave with us

We have a spring on a property in TN that has a small entrance to what I assume to be a cave. Too small to crawl into, but freezing cold water comes out non stop. Always wanted to stick a GoPro on a stick and attach a flashlight and see if it opens up at all.

Wow. Whats the deal with the cat paw prints? How did a cat get back that far in a pitch dark cave? Are they fossilized? That is really wild! Great video!

This is what I came to say, why would a cat swim through a cave and keep going that far, it’s dark and cold and wet, seems to defy an animal’s instincts

It's awesome what you guys are doing, but I really hope you guys always think safety first. If that cold would have immobilized one of you, your 10 hour day, would get much, much, longer, AND you'd have to help organize rescue party. Hopefully you guys keep thermal blankets, hand/foot warmers, splints, bandages, thread and needle, etc.. there's lots of helpful stuff, I'm sure you know. My old guy senses are kicking in and hate to hear or see you guys in bad or deadly spot. Do you guys bring any sort of protection? Like a hand gun, or big blade knife? You never know who or what you'll cross in one of your adventures.
@tag_caver Жыл бұрын
Guns or knives are not needed caving. Cavers have been caving in this region since the 50's and it's as common as hiking or paddling around here. Would love for you to check out some of my caving videos!

Man these videos make me really uncomfortable but I love the fact that it’s just you guys. No music, no bs, it makes it way more tolerable and I think more comfortable to the audience. I appreciate the fact that you guys have such an appreciation for the beauty of the caves and respect the animal residents. Do you guys ever pull the trash out that you find? Like bottles and cans and wrappers? It’s sad to see that kind of stuff in these remote locations
@victorpena200 Жыл бұрын
That seems like the deepest cave that you guys explored so far, try wearing a wet thermal suit next time, you don’t want to get hypothermia. It would be extremely difficult for medical attention to reach you at those deep depths.
@chompers11 Жыл бұрын
Yea I dunno why they dont wear a shorty wetsuit at the very least
@victorpena200 Жыл бұрын
@@chompers11 I was once in this situation, I explored an unknown cave, this was 21 years ago. I was young and hardheaded at the time. I nearly lost my life due to hypothermal. This cave was deep within the mountains in Pennsylvania. You have to crawl through water to navigate through the cave. I learned from that day that you need a thermal wet suit, 1000 hours worth of batteries to maintain your flash light, extra mileage of rope, food, water, and an extra orange line to mark what you’ve covered so you don’t get lost in those underground tunnels. If the water is deep it’s best to turn around, it’s not worth it to drown and get lost in the thick silt that blocks your vision. Underwater cave diving is the most risky exploring.

What precautions do you guys take against spreading white nose to the bats that live in these caves?
@THATcaveGUY Жыл бұрын
I belive these guys are mixed Mexican so they are brown not white, not much chance if spreading any white disease, but just incase I'm sure they blow their nose regularly incase their white half has anything. Problem solved.
@quintili1 Жыл бұрын
These guys have some cool videos but they don't seem to be the "precautions" type.
@R3TR0R4V3 Жыл бұрын
Nonsense, this isn't their first rodeo and being that they're experienced cavers, I'm sure they're well aware of WNS and know to decontaminate their gear, etc. They may not be the most "precautous" when it comes to their own safety, but I've never seen them show any lack of respect or disregard towards wildlife.

Wow! Fascinating! 1. Why is the rope at the waterfall? Is it a known spot? How old do you think that rope is? 2. Have you found out what makes the black color in the formations? @ 8:20 in the video... what causes that!? 3. What state are you exploring? Are all the caves you explore in the same state? I'm really digging your channel.. But now I have so many questions! LOL
