We found a lot of treasure on this adventure but I almost lost my head in the process 🤯Wow, that was such a close call! I can't imagine the speed that magnet was traveling but if it hit me in the face this adventure would have been very different. But how cool is it to find gold with a magnet! Just shows you never know what you can find with these magnets. Gold is a noble metal and does not go green under water. Copper that is plated in gold or silver that is plated in gold will, but not real solid gold. I’ve been diving shipwrecks for 25 years and have found gold coins that are 400+ years old and they look brand-new straight out of the ocean. Gold does not rust. it does not tarnish and it certainly does not corrode.

9ct gold, which is common for chains, is about 20% copper which is why it turns green 😃👍

Finding an actual meteorite is extremely rare. Those are ferrous rocks, some of the most common on Earth.

Dutch ecologist here, love your work! Side note: those "lobsters" are red craw fish (*Procambarus clarkii*), an american invasive species... You'd be doing the local environment a big favor (amplifying what you're already doing by getting trash out of the water) by killing them. Try to use iNaturalist to ID them for more certainty. I'm guessing the crab could be the "chinese mitten crab" (Eriocheir sinensis), also an invasive species. Both are edible if you feel like it's a waste otherwise, but they're as healthy for you as the waters they're from... Anyway, love your enthusiasm
