Did you know that you can actually rename the pals? Go to the pal-box, if you highlight over one of the pals, down in the bottom of the screen it says "hit f to view details". In that screen you can rename the pals. You actually can have a Kevin pal around with you.

The pals have stars and Pal Essence Condeser make this rise for example foxsparks one star have 100 dps but foxsparks on full stars will have 1k dps. make gloves for jolt hog and you can throw them lile granede. both of you get flying monut like this bird 6.03. if one both level up fast capture 10 of each new pal you will get guns in no time.

Since you have started playing this I started and I know an exploit to get a mammorest: first you need two mammorests (next to each other) Agro one and go behind the other when it attacks it will attack the one in front of you and then they both fight when they are fighting wait until one gets low use mega spheres until you catch it Edit: there are also merchants you can find around the map like in an abandoned mineshaft or out in the open and they have a chance to have a kingpaca (that is how I got mine) Edit 2: they cost gold
