Thanks Jon, I tried Huen Jai Yong in San Kamphaeng after you recommendation and my wife (who is Laotian) and daughter absolutely loved it. My favorite Northern Thai restaurant. Can't wait to give this one a go mate. Keep them coming!!

Love the one in Old City- delicious food. Didn’t know about Laab (Larb) until we got back to the States. Now I make it a lot - wife likes it better than Pad KraPao.

W0W! You-all got a LOT! And, you blasted right through it! Good prices too! Nice to know about another Lanna "North West Thai" cuisine place. Others you may like if you like this are; Huen Phen (in town and on 3028 Hang Dong,) Krua Phech Doi Ngam/ครัวเพชรดอยงาม 2 locations, on either side of Mahidol rd. A bit more pricey but, they have EVERYTHING. And, Laab Kai Meuang Phan Waen down near the bottom of the moat is amazing, old school, not set for tourists.

Hi Jon Can you do a vlog on the expat tax situation. Was going to come over with proceeds of house sale in uk But not to be taxed on income by thailand. I think the property market will dry up . If foreign capital is taxed . Might be worth a vlog

Looks great. Going to chiang mai in January and will add the one in the old city to our list. I dont think I understood what your favorite is or what it was made of. Chile stuffed with pork and deep fried sounds amazing.

Well worth a try! Larb moo (northern style not issan style) is my favorite dish, mince pork with spices, yep those stuffed chilis are great!

It’s Chinese, lao, etc. influenced food that I never grow tired of. Although must admit I don’t eat it every day as my wife is only able to cook every so often for me…
