Organic farming, organic indigenous cow milk products, herbs cultivation, man made attractions like glass bridge in China, eco and culture tourism are some of the answers to the woes of uttarakhand villages. I just shifted to dehradun from delhi and wish to go further up the mountains.

Visit Bhadraj Temple near dehradun and roam around in the valleys with sal forests just outside the city. The sunsets are incredible and we have snowfall in the winters above 1500 m asl.

@@wdp4wdm3a Thanks for the suggestion, I will check it out.
@wdp4wdm3a5 жыл бұрын
Some more suggestions : *Check the rivers and forests behind fri, turquoise waters everywhere. *Explore Rajaji national park, Chilla road (which lies in the national park). *Maldevta, Sahastradhara, Robbers cave. *Roads to Kandoli, Bidholi, Sudhowala and all nearby roads. *Go up to the hills and follow tons river from Dakpatthar upstream. *Visit assan barrage, amazing place for birdwatching in the winters. *Bhadraj is still the best place, highest point in dehradun (2300m) and offers incredible views of Swargarohini, bandarpunch massif, kedar dome and chaukhamba. *You can stargaze from Bhadraj, the milky way is clearly visible witha million stars, the hike is gorgeous. *If you want to visit heaven in Uttarakhand then go anywhere above 3500m. Har ki dun, kedarkantha, Nilkanth base camp, Panch kedar treks, Auden col, panpatia col trek, gangotri gomukh tapovan trek, Bali pass, Dodital, Darma valley, valley of flowers, hem kund sahib, Kuari pass, nanda devi east base camp, panchchuli base camp, adi kailash. You will be absolutely blown away and if you visit even one of these places you will perhaps never even think of blowing money on a foreign destination. Also, follow no trace policy and never litter. Dehradun city will give you double rainbows, hailstorms, snowfalls, amazing sunsets and a lifetime of memories. Never litter and always dispose the garbage in the dustbin. Have a great day and enjoy doon.

just a small piece of advice guys, you guys are making very nice videos and one more thing you guys could do is !! as in many of your videos you pin point the problem of "garbage all around". You could go on like all out on this , in each and every section just make a section like Recommendation where you could just show the issues and all, trust me you will get a lot of attention and support, may be some criticism too!! but trust me it would be like nothing as compared to love and support you will get !! and last but not the least you guys will get much needed ATTENTION !! you guys are doing quite good ! you deserve more recognition

@NativeTravellers5 жыл бұрын
Our best advise is to connect to the people and beautiful opportunities will arise. We volunteered at a nonprofit and Pankaj was a fellow volunteer, you can stay at the same homestay we helped to build with him, you can read more here: native-travellers.com/travel-blog1/the-best-homestay-in-india
