That burned fuse is a indication of another problem. First are "ALL" connections clean and tight on both the fuse panel and on the Davit electrical connections. I would also check the wiring as it did get very hot. A fire on a boat is never a good thing. Loved you video as always a fun one. Oh yes my eye doctor said always wear sun glasses with blue eyes as their more likely to get cataracts. Which I now have a tiny one lol. God bless your family in all things. Love from Texas.

I agree, as if the connections were loose, it will cause the connections to overheat and not blow the fuse. Along with poor connection and dirty points. Check manual for torque rating on those points if there is one. If not, the tighter the better.

@@gregchrist5090 Junction boxes exposed to the weather can leak as sun/ultraviolet rays deteriorate caulking. Easy to overlook. Moisture intrusion will cause a short. Whatever, it may not be obvious. Love the videos.

@@gregchrist5090 I assume the fuse to be located in at a distribution panel near the helm or maybe a controller box down below. And there are many reason for the melted contact points on the fuse including loose connection, but a leaking junction box on deck with water intrusion could cause a ground or short that could heat a fuse contact point to a melting temp. Most of the time moisture intrusion of a deck junction box is discovered when something else fails.

Guys Make sure the fuse surface is flat in the holder. The fuse needs to be between the washer and the fuse holder and not between washer and nut. Stainless is not as good a conductor as copper and it has reduced surface area. As others said. Make sure it’s tight. It looks like it welded itself to the the nut or washer so it sounds like a loose connection.

Guys that fuse is no good don't try to reuse it even though it looks intact if you took a multimeter to it you wouldn't get continuity and if you get Continuity that's even worse because that means a arch of electricity Jumped from one Pole to the other 1 and basically circumvented fuse do you know how much energy it would take for that to happen to do that kind of destruction to a fuse About 10000 V at about 50000 a mass power surge on your electrical Crane I would basically shut down that whole system until you can get it inspected and figured out why you had such a mass of power search
