We Found Portugal's Best Hidden Beaches

During our three months travelling Portugal, we went in search of the best hidden and secluded beaches that mainland Portugal had to offer. We wanted to discover beaches that aren't usually crowded and that were different to those we had read about in all the top 10 lists. We knew there were many hidden gems to uncover but we couldn’t quite believe the amazing places we found.
The beaches:
- Praia do Paraiso in Carvoeiro (nearest city is Portimao or Lagos)
- Praia do Carvalho near Benagil (nearest city is Albufeira or Lagos or Portimao)
- Praia da Bordeira in Bordeira (nearest city is Lagos or Aljezur)
- Praia de Galapinhos near Setubal (nearest city is Setubal or Lisbon)

Here's a bit about us:
We’re pretty sure that the very first time we met included hours discussing our hopes to travel the world and so it’s no surprise that we eventually made the decision to quit our jobs, pack up our things and leave to travel full-time in our self-converted van 🌏
We wanted to leave the world of 9-5's and society's expectations behind as we knew this route in life wouldn't make us happy. And so, the plan to travel in the van was born 🚐 but after travelling on and off for the past year, we made a promise to change our mindset and start looking for adventure big or small at home in the UK. Since we don’t have huge savings or online jobs, we have to come back home to earn money to fund these adventures. Our goal is to take what we learn whilst travelling and apply it to our lives back home (you could call those things the ‘adventure mindset’). This summer we have a whole load of adventures planned (big and small) and we will be taking you all along with us. Up until we’re off exploring new cultures and adventuring abroad again soon, of course.
