I loved this video. It was big fun to watch the whole cycle from thrifting, to selling, to buying reno stuff, to installing. Thanks for posting. This really hits the sweet spot, too, in terms of length. Twenty to thirty minutes is long enough to provide a lot of content, but not burdensome in length, to watch, nor so long that viewers lose interest and don't finish. Looking forward to the next one.

This was such a great video!! I really enjoyed how you showed finding the dinosaur egg & then immediately showed you digging it out. I know those flips back and forth, that did so many times, must have taken forever to edit and put together but it was so worth it!! It made for a fantastic video! I'm really excited to see the progress with the house! Can't wait for the next video! - Jenn

You may already know this but if you need paint rehabbing your house check the paint stores. They have mismatched paints for as little as $2 per gallon. I got enough to paint my whole house inside and out for less than $100.00 at Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore . Included 2 5 gallon buckets one exterior paint and one 5 gallon bucket eggshell interior. To give you an idea of how much paint I used my house is 1400 square ft and had to be painted all over . Make your goodwill makeover money go a lot farther !!

The amount of value that can be extracted by taking something from a pile of "junk" and putting it in front of a buyer in need of that item is truly crazy when you really think about it. And that's why we love reselling.

@gordjohn2322 Isn't that the truth! My mom used to sell live worms and beta fish back when that was allowed on the platform! Thanks, it took me several tried to come up with the name but I think it's pretty clever if I do say so myself 😆
@gordjohn2322 Жыл бұрын
@@MooreIncome Yes it is a clever name and it will stick in people's mind, which is important if you are into the selling of items. Anything different is all it takes. When I think of people selling 'junk' to others, I'm always reminded of the 'hula-hoop' that was so very popular years ago. Even better than that, was the guy that came up with the idea of selling 'pet rocks'. Just proves if people will buy a rock for a 'pet', they will purchase anything. One time I heard of a lady from the central USA that created her own website and sold tumble weeds. She had such a great business that she had friends and neighbours out gathering them for her.

Down the road when someone replaces the flooring, they will see your signature and any note you left behind. My hubby, some of our relatives, and I did that when we replaced our flooring. Trailer! Congratulations on the Trailer. Couple suggestions: First, find a mount for the spare tire outside on the front (either onto the hitch or even the front outside wall. They make mounts for both methods and have cloth tire covers like you see on Jeeps. It will give you more interior cargo space. Second, since you are a Motorcycle guy and are always moving them, consider a couple E-tracks along the walls, to strap the bikes easier. The track systems also work well for short loads (not full), big tool boxes and appliances. Again, congratulations!

I’m just blown away by your amazing finds at Goodwill bins! Our Goodwills here around New Orleans have their prices so high that the only good prices are on the irretrievable items with holes, broken zippers, stains, and/or broken components, because they list their quality items on OfferUp or some other sales website, so I’m thrilled that y’all can find such great things at such amazingly low prices! My husband did find at a Goodwill, some Rolex Spoons in a glass case that sold immediately, and he also found an original, still in the cellophane wraper, Bam Margera skateboard deck, at a church’s thrift shop for $15, and it sold on eBay for $425 or $450! I wish that we had Goodwill bins near us, but we do have thrift shops that support our local handicapped community, and we find some great items there, and we do love your very informative videos! We are so happy for your success! We’re having our own home challenge, because we are still trying to recover from Hurricane Ida destruction. We live southeast of New Orleans, and were hit directly by Hurricane Ida and a spin-off tornado that struck our neighborhood in August of 2021. We saw entire cinder block walls of churches collapsed, and our local hospital had to be condemned permanently, and schools were destroyed, and a mobile home on our street was completely turned upside down! The roof was torn off of Lady of the Sea General Hospital live on CNN. So, our dream home challenge is to make our home safe and restored, to pre-Ida status. We also lost 3 family members, and I had to have 2 major spine surgeries, equaling 4 fusions and a laminectomy. Also, the roof caved in over our master suite , and we have structural and mold damage, as well. I’m so glad to see y’all doing so well, and y’all are truly a blessed and inspirational couple! God bless y’all! Thanks so much for your informative videos! We appreciate y’all! ❤️🙏🏻🤗🎉

Electrical Ground Wires: speaking of small wires in the crawl space that are near the old plumbing pipes, during some periods, in some areas (especially if you had a well with metal water pipes) your Electrical Service Panel’s Grounding was done by running a bare solid copper wire out of the panel and over to your metal water pipe and was clamped right to the water line. Watch for it, as you cut out metal pipes and replace them with PEX, because without that metal to metal connection your power panel won’t have a ground (if you remove it). Other houses received their electrical ground ps differently with ground rods, driven 4-6’ into the earth and the copper wire was connected there.

Military Style Cap (minute mark 7:50): that type of cap is referred to as a Garrison Cap by most services (though as a Sailor we had another crude name for them). The idea is that it’s less formal for wear around an Army Garrison/Fort, or on the Flight Line. Pilots can drop them into their flight suit cuff pockets when putting on their helmets. The rest of the services tuck them under their waist belts, when they are taken off indoors and so they don’t have to set them down or hold them. .
