Great tutorial, very thorough. Is that a hard-setting gasket paste or a soft-setting one that you're using? Another product I have found works well is rubber silicone, which is softer setting (compressible), and a good tip also is when you seal it back up, don't tighten the screws until after a few days, that way when you do tighten them, it will compress the already semi-cured silicone around the seal for an even tighter and more reliable finish.

Car Quest Black sealant was used to seal the mags, but Car Quest recently dropped their own line of gasket sealant and switched to Permatex packaging. Any Permatex sealant should work.

Carquest Supreme Black was the sealer used in the video, but any good sealant should do the trick.

I use that same brand of Silicon Oil, Team Associated I believe? People have tried to tell me it will damage the o-rings, because it has some sort of harmful ingredients to keep it from going bad or something. How long have you been using it? No problems I assume?

Screw that. I re-sealed mine and it still leaks in the same spop :p I'm getting the damn things welded shut to fix it once and for all. seriously whats the point of the removable cover?

Honestly I wouldn't bother trying to resell these Vers. 1 mags. I would just throw them in the garbage and buy some new Vers. 2s.
