Actually, yes! Even some cats take 1-2 months to get comfortable with you. Mine was like 4 weeks. But, atleast the end is worth it!!

1 - 2 days isn't going to be long enough for them to get along. You'll have to take the transition period slower than that if you want them to get along. You'll have to let them smell things that each other have laid on or rubbed against. There's lots of articles on how to transition new cats into homes with resident cats. But congrats, she's beautiful!!

You mainly right. A few exceptions due to personalities of the cats but the sex differences makes a huge impact. Instinct is male dominate so she is not likely challenge him which keeps him calm. Also, he does understand she is a baby and that will facilitate the adjustment, but you are correct it will take more than 1-2 days. More like 3 months up to a year depending on the cats' personalities and temporments.

I don’t like water unless I’m like super thirsty, and even then I’ll just take one or two gulps. So I usually sit and drink my 7 fav Gatorades (rotating them), and this really yummy Ginger soda (NOT) Ginger ale, that 💩s p!$$ water. It’s something that was created in our state as a Med about 100 years ago (maybe more). Now it’s a soda and in most Krogers and I think Publix. It has a lil Scottish guy on the logo. I sometimes drink Crystal lite too. Anyway I do drink water in the summer but still not much and it has to be extremely cold. And I def can’t take p!IIs with it because I gag. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My cat got like that when my nephew had to stay with me and brought his cats. She wouldn’t p33 or 💩. Being that she’s older I thought it was her kidneys and freaked, so I took her to the vet. It ended up being stress from too many cats in the house. The vet gave her a cortisone shot and suggested separate boxes. It worked. Now she has her own box, and food/water bowls. And her brother has his. 😹 Also male cats leave presents like that when they feel threatened/jealous/or are asserting their authority. He probably considers himself the alpha of the house and wants her to know it. They are a lot like dogs in that way. They can behave like pack animals. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The reason cats go in and out of their litter box and don't do anything is so they leave their scent behind. One place cats have scent glands is in their paws. It is a stress reliever (she can smell her scent and at least that's familiar to so it helps her calm down), but the main reason is to leave her scent so that she feels safe using the litter box. Cats are vulnerable as the go into a trance when the eliminate and she has to feel as though she is safe from predators. It's actually quite normal. Now as for going outside of the litter box. If I got it right you male cat peed and defecated outside the box? He smells a strange animal in the house and instinct is to mark his territory so the other cat knows he is alpha.

Not sure if you’ve been told, or you know. Kittens are like baby humans. Even though they seem like they’re independent, because they can already feed themselves and use the litter, etc. However, they will put anything in their mouth and swallow. Particularly toys and things. I had one swallow a small bungie cord, which then would they intestines up from the inside. 4 g’s for the ultrasounds/x-ray, surgery, etc. Still passed away. So make sure to kitten or off and keep eyes on her. Enjoy those two cuties.

They need around 1 week to 2 weeks separation to get them used to the idea there is another fur family in the house. And in the between let them see each other but not too long at a time.

I hate drinking water, I always get this, "metalic" aftertaste as I use to call it. I bought two jugs of water one that was treated with "reverse osmosis" and one a different method I believe, and the water treated with reverse osmosis had the "metalic" after taste. I still don't drink water all that often lol.

funny you say this, in my experience it’s been the opposite. the females cats are always more standoffish and boys are super affectionate and cuddly. we just got a kitten recently and he literally wails if he can’t see you
