So I just got this yesterday for my birthday! I do have a good eye for photography, but I am what they call a complete beginner. Although I will say the tutorials online are helping! Looking forward to trying this camera out! Also learning Photoshop at the same time. What do you think about this camera a year later? Will this take better photos than the new iPhone or Samsung phones?

I actually got this camera for my birthday this year in June. It’s great, and my favorite blue. So many different effects and it has a 52x zoom (it can actually go further in zoom) I’ve taken a picture of the moon with this thing and I have to say it’s pretty impressive for such a small camera. I charge it every 2-3 days or so depending on how much I use it. Takes good videos too. Only problem is I don’t have tripod yet lol.

Hey if you could show us how to get one of those set up that would be nice because I have the same color camera same model and I cannot get mine turn on or charge for some reason I bought it brand-spanking knew but ever since I came home with it. I was not able to do anything with it and I need to try to get it to work because I spent $250 on the damn thing and it don’t work and I do Railroad photography if you can make another video of how to get it set up and show us everything and show us what I need to do That would be great

I just got this camera to replace my Nikon 40x zoom. You did not tell everyone that they need to buy the SDHC card since it shoots hi def videos. I still haven't figured out the wi-fi controls. I dont want that on my phone.

@@mason8009 YES -- kodak is aware of the problem. they sent me a new battery (which i plugged in when i received it, just in case) mostly charged. make sure when you email kodak, that you include the serial number in the email... 😁

I cannot get any of these features to work. Can you help me? Trying to follow manual but not seeing what I am suppose to see to select values. Display Setting - Press the (guessing DISP) button to display settings: Classic, Full, Off. Never see this. Using Mode Dial - Shutter priority S - how to set shutter speed and ISO value? Aperture priority A - how change aperture? Auto Mode - has auto mode, Landscape Mode, etc. has these funny looking shapes but I can't find them anywhere to select - A for Auto Mode, A square with mountains for Landscape Mode, etc. WHERE are THEY? Continues with Portrait Mode, Night Portrait, Backlit Portrait, Night Mode, Macro Mode - WHERE are THEY?? Face Beautifier - says to press this button and select a Red square with a white something in the red square - cannot set - can't find. Also has a cross with a 1 or 2 or 3 for different effects - Cannot find these either Touch-up - select something I cannot find and press SET button to reduce red eye, soften skin, eye brightening, eye enlargement? WHERE ARE THESE BUTTONS??? Rotate - Select a arrow and press SET to turn right or left?? WHERE IS THIS ARROW button? Reside - has a really strange shape to select and press SET to enter setting screen to resize. WHERE is this strange shape so I can resize? I'm not even bothering to do difficult stuff...just what I thought would be basic functions. The manual and online youtube videos ASSume you know how to find those buttons and shapes to press...WHERE ARE THEY? Thank you. I have another good week to figure out where are these missing buttons. I cannot move forward if I cannot find the buttons to select. Most of the shapes on these manuals are just a dark color with a light color in the middle or something. Can't see them but not finding any buttons to press anyways.

What size "GB" micro SD card does it take? My 128gb wont format in it. How small do I have to go to get it to work?

It can be no bigger than 32gb and i recommend using a full sized card as opposed to a micro SD with adapter at it may shift and not save properly.

Also be sure you buy a standard SD or SDHC memory card. No SDXH, Ultra or Extreme cards as they are usually more expensive and aren’t guaranteed to be compatible.

I have a couple questions since the person at Walmart couldn't answer them fully: When recording video, you said it's only 6fps. I'm looking for something that can act as a KZbin camera but the frame rate seems too low since most videos I see is either 30 or 60 fps. Is there any way to amp up those frame rates to make a good video? Also, is this camera DSLR? If so, I may consider buying one since it's on sale for $179.

I’ve never really played with the video settings, I mainly use my IPhone to record video. This is for still frame stuff, but it may be possible.

Iv'e been using this camera exclusively for about a year now and have had no issues with framerate and Iv'e never changed the factory settings. I do all my editing with Davinci Resolve 15. I still need to figure out settings for focus and It would be better if it had a front facing screen.

@John Espo To be honest... It is a nice camera that does what I need it to do. The focus is a bit touchy when your up close in macro and you try to zoom. It does focus nicely when the object is further but, you need to adjust the zoom properly to get full clarity. I'm not a professional photographer, and I am still (after a year) trying to figure out all the settings. I will recommend this camera for its price point and simplicity of the auto features. There are only a few things that would make it a better camera. Mostly that it only records in 30 minute intervals before it turns off(not a real big issue if you keep track of your time). Hopefully this helps you out.

You did not mention is that a S/D card is NOT included. I dont know why it was shipped without the card, but the directions states that an S/D card has to be used. Needless to say when I got the camera home and discovered that I would have to go back to Walmart to get the card, I was very annoyed!

I love this camera. My favorite settings: P (program) where you just set exposure (EV) which is the amount of light let into the sensor. The camera has many Scene modes like Vivid (my favorite), Dreamy, Sepia, Vingnetting, etc. and preset modes on the top dial such as sunset, fireworks, multi exposure (blends photos together),sport (action), night portrait, landscape, etc. Lots of choices and excellent results.
