With Mac, you need immense understanding of fundementals, footsies, and reading. Sillin has all of these, so it makes sense that hes got a Cracked Lil Mac.

Not on elite smash lol. For elite smash all you need is a little bit of spacing and f tilt and f smash, throw in some ko punch reversals and you're golden. There's no need to complicate mac on elite smash, he's so braindead

On the topic of ROB, it’s just because ROB has been good since the beginning of the game. Anyone who would enjoy playing ROB has already gone that route, for better or for worse. With Incineroar, that’s still a character most would consider bad, but he’s fun because casuals love heavy characters that hit like trucks. When you see someone like Skyjay win with a “mid” character like Incineroar, it encourages far more people who didn’t think he was worth the effort to give him a shot.
