Poodles are my favorite dog. I have had Standard Poodles and Miniature Poodles and now I want a Toy Poodle. I have had Poodles my whole life and I'm now 52 years old. Poodles are awesome. I pray that God will bless me with a Toy Poodle someday. May God bless you always! Bily Curless Wichita, Kansas, USA

I am planning to get my first dog, a Toy Poodle. I am 67 years old and never had a dog before. I can hardly wait !

sm I'm the same age as you. I have 4 poodles and I'm crazy about each one. I highly suggest you keep your new poodle in a cage when you're not home & at night. It will save your frustration by not having an accident in the house, chewing your favorite items or even getting sick elsewhere in your house. I hope this helps you. 😊

We got a mini P from a breeder that retired her at five. I didn't want her AT ALL!. Now, I can't live with out her. She doesn't bark, pees on command, and I don't need a leash when I take her places. The absolute best dog we've ever had.

There are a lot of poodles in rescue centers that need homes!!
@Shaz-gq7pv9 ай бұрын
True but unfortunately rehoming a dog from a rescue centre can be harder than adopting a child. The rescues around me didn't allow me too because I'm in council flat even though I was allowed a small dog and work from home another one turned me down because I've a cat who's perfectly comfortable with dogs due to my cousin visiting regularly with her cocker spaniel and my mum having two collies my cats famiar with. The last rescue near me also where only willing to consider me taking a older dog and no puppies kept saying puppies were spoken for even when they still advertised a few weeks later and kept trying to push senior dogs on me when I told them I wanted a pup to train in advanced obedience, agility and to take hiking and camping frequently. If the rescues would make the rehoming process a little easier and better match dogs with new owners more dogs would get homes I tried for two years before buying a pup because I really needed a companion I would of loved to rescue the right dog

Maybe you are just a bad owner. Maybe you should get a bird. May God bless you always!
@Shaz-gq7pv9 ай бұрын
No birds are harder than dogs and when stressed or under stimulated they pluck feathers. They also have very specific needs, are very vocal get extremely attached and dependant on their humans. They have complex dietary needs need a lot of fresh fruit and veg most seed diets sold for birds are not a safe or balanced diet and shortens lifespans. Birds go through hormonal changes seasonally and become very aggressive and hard to handle during these times. If someone finds a dog too needy or complex they certainly shouldn't get a bird or any pet. A bird is not a toy to be stuffed in a cage way too many parrots live lonely life's locked in cages and untamed and u worked with. Almost 50 percent of parrots in the pet trade have a shortened life span due to neglect or owners who didn't research and aren't knowledgeable in proper bird care
