We crate trained our labrador from day one and after 1 yr he absolutely loves it..he sleeps in it, goes inside it if he us too tired. It's like crate is his own room. Buddy us going to love his crate.

Hi Beautiful people! Firstly, my family absolutely loves your family and we do not miss a single video on either of your channels. Great work and you’re all very sweet but the sweetest one is Buddy of course! We too had our Zeus who is in a better place now wherever he is that is why watching Buddy makes our day! Just a small suggestion if you don’t mind. We travelled with Zeus via airplanes and it is suggested that their crate should be big enough for them to move about especially while traveling long distance. Since Zeus was a Labrador too, we were advised by the airlines (at the time of travel) to get a larger crate than 40 inches. Watching Buddy in his new crate feels like there’s not enough room for him considering long distance travel. Please take this into consideration as we’re aware that you love Buddy immensely and so do we. Best wishes!

Thanks for your comment, we researched a lot before understanding the size. Dogs don't require a lot of room inside the crate and if you see this website it is suggested to get 40" for a Lab as the next size 48" is for taller dogs like GSD or Doberman etc www.petmate.com/petmate-vari-kennel/product/21790

We researched the same thing and took 40inch crate for final checking to the airport before flying out but the inspection officer at the airport refused to go ahead with it which is why we had to get 48 inch crate. The rest is totally your call of course. We wish only the best for you all. 🙂

Hope this works well with buddy. My dog was used to crate from puppyhood but once he traveled in flight in his own crate and since then he is even scared of riding in car. The similar thing happened to my friend’s dog. They got their dog from India in his own crate now he is totally a changed dog and has a lot of anxiety. Hope the flight travels works well with buddy. Also the cargos are low pressured and the dogs don’t get enough oxygen. Many things to take care. IMO it is ok to leave the dogs back especially when u r flying. Dogs definitely love their crates cos they feel secure and their private space in it. But traveling in cargo is a different thing.

@@FurryFriend : I would encourage you to look up and research about both short and long term impact on dog's behavior after cargo travel (Specially 20-24 hrs flight to India). I am a lab owner in CA and would NOT recommend giving this mental torture experience to a perfectly happy and healthy dog unless it's absolutely necessary. FYI : My puppy was crate trained since he was 8 weeks...he loves his crate but traveling in flight with Cargo is a BIG NO NO.
