Y'all need one of those Igloo dog houses for Gunner and put hay in it so he can get out of the weather if he gets cold. Even dogs like him get cold if the weather stays cold for too long.

Hint for the bigger water troughs, float a scrap 2x4/6 board preferably not pressure treated, before a freeze, hit the board to break up the ice. It also helps them thaw faster.

A little tip Take a 2 liter bottle put water and salt in it and put it in the water trough and it will stop the water from completely freezing over. The animals will learn to push it down and drink around it.

Water is the main thing I see everyone having issues with. I know they make those heated dog water bowls. I don't know if that will work for all the animals, but I've watched other channels that are using them, and they are working out. The big water tanks I've seen other farmers using a water heating thing that is made for the tank, and it floats. I'm not sure if that helps, but I thought I'd throw it on here to see if it helps.🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, Carl is cute with his little sweater on. Looks like the little horses are warm with their fluffy coats! Gunner is such a happy pup! I'll keep prayin' for Percy. Poor guy, he's such a pretty pig, and he's so nice. Looks like everyone is gonna be ok from the weather that's approaching. Its really cold here too. I am so glad that you put hay down for your dog and your peahens area.. I have another farm show I watch and I just wish they would get a few dog houses and barns and put hay in there peahen areas..You guys take great care of your critters.

All i got to say is brrr! It's in the teens right now and supposed to go down to single digits overnight. Lived in New England my whole life and prefer to hibernate during the winter. Old black bear is living the dream. Hayden's do is absolutely awesome. She's so pretty.

Kids here went to school either Thursday or Friday (I live where 4 districts divide), then we had Snow storm. So the largest district (one where they have more town kids) already announced no school the entire week, the others are announcing daily. But probably they will be out at least this week, temps are under freezing at least a week & the 3 are mostly country kids .

My daughter lives up in Denison, Iowa and has horses and dogs and goats and other animals and she has medium and large coolers that she has taken the lids off of and puts really warm water in and they last all day and night filling them once every morning and they live well north of you and your family give it a try good luck and god bless

Mark 6 or 8 eggs for them to sit on then you can remove the fresh eggs. A broody hen can keep to many eggs warm enough.

Those eggs have been left too long to hatch. In cold temps its more important a hen sits ALL the time & in such low temperatures chicks wont survive outside. Removing ice chunks will help water stay liquid. Might be good idea to get electric out to animals to run heaters for water. I used a pad or disc under water pans & a submersible in troughs
