We got Kicked out of London for Urban Skimboarding!

First part of the #skimeverything UK Tour!
Enjoy an action packed day full of urban skimboarding and enjoying the sights of London! After we got our shoes wet, we visited the Google/KZbin Europe Headquarters thanks to our friends! What followed was an epic but quick session at the big three stair right in front of KZbin office on Kings Cross!

Im an industrial plumber and gotta say, cant blame them for kicking you out. covering those fountain holes while they are shooting water often causes jam ups and misfires in the pumps, even if they are covered for only a few seconds. I get called to jobs to fix these pumps all the times from people sitting on the fountains or doing this kinda stuff on em.

What is the point of street furniture if has no function and not for use. If it's just there to look pretty it has no intrinsic value. The fact that London has become so sanitized and security guards with less authority then a postman can stop people using public spaces by calling them private property is outrageous because here in UK anywhere that has public access is a public space "BY LAW".

UK HERE. Under British law, any place with public access is a public space and only an officer of the law (Cop) can command you to stop doing something. When outside the security guard is just Joe Public will ZERO power. My postman has more authority then those guards. It's sad that people actually bother to listen to them.

Problem in central London is all of the public fountains are in fact on private estate developments, so have security who control the entire area. There's interesting spots along Regnet's Canal including paddington...

That's a common misconception and you're wrong.Anywhere in London that has access to the general public is not private property. The old mayor of London Ken Livingstone made sure of that in law when he granted permission for the remodeling of central London. The fact that London has become so sanitized and security guards with less authority then a postman can stop people using public spaces by calling it private property is outrageous

U should get some of the stick out teflon sheeting they put on airboats bottoms, for the bottom of ur skim board. Better wear protection and would help lower friction.

Urban skimboarding looks like alot of fun. But also... why?? getting all wet while in the city, you need to walk indoors, change shoes, change clothes, carry a massive and cumbersome board around (nightmare for heavy winds like in boston or some days in NYC.... you're effectively a human sailboat there), carry towels and wet clothes around....... its so inconvenient for just a few feet of riding. i would just skate. But as a one time thing or if i lived in a city that rains consistently i probably would do this every day. Cool video man!

I was wondering if you’re trespassing. You should design special fields for this, skate boards etc. or even put on shows! It would be awesome! Someone would make a lot of money. Very cool, fun video. Can’t help but pull an old man move and sympathize with the building owner. It does appear a lot less destructive than skateboarding but you boys wouldn’t like it if your property was treated in such a way.
