@@babiulilate4754 soooo Update @Babi Ulilate We are currently still together not married yet bc I had cold feet 😩lol it felt so good in the beginning then he started to scare me how much he praised me 😣 I’m not used to a good man like this he would literally do anything for me. So far it’s been 7 months he works in Wisconsin and I live in Florida so the distance gave me the space I needed to think and make sure I wanted this! Good news is we are officially moving in our New home August 1st 🥳and hopefully after that a baby bc my cutoff time is age 40😂 so yeah that’s where we’re at with it. ❤️💕💯

Your husband is hilarious, strong, and knows how to stand in his own truth letting nothing; no one sway him. That's the erethang greater in Decatur/ Bankhead way, lol. You have a beautiful spirit, are strong, know your own truth & stand in it. Vacation as much as possible, even with the babies. My husband is retiring in Jan w/31 years of combined active, reserve, National Guard (Fort Benning, Ga now). The military has taken us to great place & put is in hard places (deployments), but we made it. It takes a special couple to withstand the challenges of military & you guys got this. Keep on keeping on! You guys are an inspiration to us ❤.

I'm loving this story time. When you know, you just know. I find it really interesting that Dion knew that he would meet his wife when he did. That's amazing. It's so funny that men never remember details to stuff. I've been the one that lead a life according to a book but when I fell in love, I trusted myself as well and my family wasn't always so comfortable with that. I can definitely relate to what Dion is saying about projecting your thoughts and expectations on others. As a parent it's instinctive but you have to be very conscious of it. My teenagers and my mom help me with that though. Girl y'all are teaching an entire lesson around trusting your child with what you've already taught them, its not easy but SO true. 🙌🏽 Get them goats momma. 🤣😂 Girl, Dion is a RIOT! Thank you! When he first told me that he had a feeling he would meet his wife I was shocked because we were set on not wanting marriage when we first met. I believe heavily in trusting your own process and not allowing other people’s insecurities effect your life decisions because it’s YOURS to live! And I think it’s healthy for parents to allow their children to live especially when they are grown (Dion was 32 and his dad was really having a hard time with it) at some point you have to back down.

Actually he didn't ask my parents for permission. We aren't very traditional people and I had no relationship with my dad. Parents will naturally have some concern but if you really talk to them about your decision maybe they'll be supportive. If you're truly in love and want to get married for the right reasons everything should be fine. A lot of times people are marrying for the fantasy that they have created/ imagined their whole lives and end up failing because it wasn't what they have fantasized about. Make sure you think about your position and follow what your heart is telling you to do.
