Saesang fans would go crazy and it was bad enough that Joy was getting so much hate from those saesang fans ever since the article of Sungjae and Joy being paired up in WGM came out. That’s why Sungjae has said in interviews and to Joy herself..that he really thinks about his actions. He doesn’t want Joy to get more hate, but he doesn’t want Joy to think he doesn’t like her or anything. So he was being cautious with skinship especially in the earlier episodes. You can tell mid-way through their time in WGM, they just stopped caring about the hate and just was themselves and had a lot of skinship and had even more heart to heart/sweet moments. In time, many viewers started to love SungJoy..even until now.

Now I'm not saying they have romantic feelings. Who are we to know their true feelings right? Right now I can tell they are just enjoying each other's company and just having fun. They are genuine people and they also put 100% regardless of having busy schedules. Not just because it's their job, but also to be each other's vitamins. You can tell in this episode specifically how tired Joy was and how Sungjae always tried to make her laugh and cheer her up. The same with Joy, even in the little things like not knowing how to back flip in the water made Sungjae laugh so much. Yes, Sungjae can act and he's being a role of a husband, but their laughter and their smiles is not fake guys. You can tell they really appreciate these kind of moments. If some fans can't handle their fave being on WGM, then don't watch it. SIMPLE as that.

As Eunkwang and other BTOB members said multiple times, Sungjae is usually a very confident and outgoing kind of guy. He's not to fearful or shy from challenges, but for some reason Sungjae is shy and nervous with Joy. BTOB has never seen Sungjae like this and it's interesting. I also have the same observations with Sungjae too. Also, despite WGM PDs putting Sungjae and Joy in romantic situations and giving the missions, I believe it's also up to Joy and Sungjae on how they want to do it as well. So, it's half scripted and half Joy and Sungjae doing what they want. It's obvious from the earlier episodes how much they both cringe at the cheesiness. But then I also feel that they really do get along well and instead of following the whole "we have to be romantic" they just did it their way, the playful and fun way. To me, watching SungJoy is more like "We Are Dating" than "We Got Married". Another thing that I like about this couple is that they are HONEST with each other.
