I think they didn't. I've watched the full episode. At first they're thinking to end the stage with sth strong. Eric said maybe a cheek kiss, but Solar said that's too weak (Eric in great shock XD Asking what Solar what to do if cheek kiss is too weak XD). Before going to the stage, there is a scene which Solar (if I didn't remember wrong) said that they haven't decided the ending yet but they have to go now. She said that then she'll just follow her heart do what she want to do at the end. I guess Solar has the idea at the beginning but she didn't tell Eric to surprise Eric. I think all they have planned are up to the head-touching, and Solar made the last move by herself.

It would be sad if the only reason they aren't closer is due to backlash from fans. Eric said in a podcast that they were on good terms, but had to be very cautious in public. He said that made things "awkward" and "uncomfortable". I know the fandom loves Solar x Moonbyul, but if that isn't what Solar wants, then that's very sad.

@@princessmellyyy 100% agree with what you said. Rumour has it that Hwasa and Wheein had relationships after they debuted, with non-celebrities. I am glad they managed to do that, and have some semblance of normality, despite being in the spotlight. Solar x Moonbyul are in a different position, as they are colleagues, and "faces" of Mamamoo. If they truly are together, then they aren't granted the anonymity that the rest of us have. And while the fandom ships them, it's worth remembering that same sex unions aren't legally recognised in South Korea, and coming out has meant career suicide for more than one celebrity. The odds are stacked against them, sadly. Whatever their relationship, it's clear they care deeply about each other. I just hope they are afforded the space and privacy to be with whoever they choose, whether that's Solar x Moonbyul, or other people.

Even if the show are scripted, they both have great chemistry going on and quite obvious sexual tension between them. Their eye contact feels so intimate that I almost feel like spying on a couple before a make out session lol. Looks like eric sincerely likes solar more, tho.
