I have my 2020 Jayco its the same floor plan. What I did was keep dinnette set down and bought a foam topper at Costco and made it soo much better!! I always put up my fold up table. My honey sat at one end I sat at other with our table. Also, I made a binder of how to work each unit. I had Refrigerator on 1 page Generator on page and step by step instructions and so on. I really used that orange binder! It was my quick reference guide to each componet.

When we purchased our 40’ Monaco Windsor my husband made me read the big manual cover to cover. We lived in it for a year. It felt like I was playing house. Couple of tips: 1. When driving from place to place I would put some 20 Mule Team powder or Borateem with a cup of water to kinda freshen up the sewer tank. 2. Have Jason wear a pair of gloves when working with the hoses for sanitary reasons. Just keep them with the hoses. We bought a book Camping World that had all the campgrounds listed. Back in 2003 you could always stay for free overnight at Walmart. Have a great time. I have so many fond memories. ❤️

a bunch of people online mention putting a calgon softener+water in the black tank, and also using some dawn in the toilets. Supposedly it facilitates getting it flushed out really clean, less crud sticking to the inside.

Make sure you get a power surge protector for plugging into shore power. If a power surge goes through an rv it can fry so so many things they are a bit pricey but very worth it, much less the fixing/replacing costs! Love the new rig! Can’t wait to see your adventures!!!

See how it goes for a few months, but if it seems like the sun/heat outside is making it hard to keep it cool inside, look into 'ceramic tinting' for the big windows. It looks like regular window tinting but keeps out a huge percentage of the heat. It's more expensive than regular tinting, but not ridiculously so, and regular tinting doesn't actually keep out much heat.

How exciting! We flew to Montana to get our motorhome, from Oregon. We could only bring one carry one each, not easy when you need things like pillows and sheets. I found space saving bags at Dollar tree, they worked great. However, I could not fit blankets, we froze!!!! Silly us did not figure out the thermostat, or where it was before we went to bed. 🙄

Enjoyed this trip very much. We call it a golf cart too! Guess it is considered a golf car since we bought ours from Sale Golf Cars. haha But everyone at our campground call them golf cart....We have a membership with Thousand Trails, so we can camp all year long in 5 zones, 190 plus campgrounds.
