So from what I can piece together, for the ending, you see Virginia because you had befriended her, so she enters the cube with you, the 'other guy' in the cube is Kelvin, because you kept him alive, the dude that tried to enter but gets 'crushed by the door' (locked out) is the shiny jacket dude that knocked you out in the beginning of the game, he is then mutated because he wasn't within the cube by the time of its event.
