Gonna say something scary here.. If infinity ends up being the 'live service' online only launcher that some people think, that means any assassins creed game that is put into it without any other way to launch them will disappear singleplayer or not. All it takes to lose all current games in the franchise is 1 update that makes it so you have to go through infinity to get to them. I hope I'm just being an idiot but modern trends and ubisoft saying 'you should be comfortable not owning your games' says otherwise

As a German I'm thrilled for AC Hexe. I expect that it will take place during the time period from 1618-1648 which was according to my knowledge a really dark time. Also we've a hell of old castles and Monasteries from this time which could be a great playground for Parkour and Stealth. Also the forest's and towns with city walls have a huge potential. And we all know that Ubisoft is very good in creating fantastic open worlds. But the next stop is Japan. I hope it will become also a cool game.

Ubisoft's CEO was commenting how the release of GTA VI was going to be good for business for them because when GTA V released, Black Flag sold really well like 2 months after the release of GTA V. And the big thing man is forgetting is that Black Flag was the best AC game to have ever been released, that's why it sold as many copies as it did. I don't see that happening with any of Ubisoft's current product, that is unless they release the remake of black flag sometime after GTA VI releases and if it actually happens to be a good remake

The trend chasing is what made Valhalla very hard for me to "like". I enjoyed my first playthrough, but that game had *0* replay value, imo. We could have gotten a really cool, Assassin's Creed Viking Age game and instead it was leather-fur-clad barbarians with wacky weapons (because Last Kingdom was very popular atm) and ofc microtransactions and time limited events. *It was a singleplayer game pretending to be an MMO.*

I'm more interested in Hexe. Montreal is still the best Ubisoft studio I feel. One of the reasons I'm more interested in Hexe is the potential for the Templars to use fear of Witchcraft against the people, and paint the Assassins as a "Coven of Witches". If we play as a female Assassin that would be very fitting. I could see a lot of very interesting story potential for that setting and characters, and the wider Assassins vs Templar conflict.

I like the theory proposed by Greg Miller of Kinda Funny, that AC Infinity isn't going to actually happen, it'll never be talked about again and Ubi will just pretend they never announced it. From everything we know about it, it seems like little more than a glorified launcher, and so far Ubi's messaging has been so unclear and inconsistent that it's hard to understand what point it serves. And if it's still raising question marks for us hardcore fans, it's going to be even worse for the mass casual audience that doesn't follow day-to-day gaming news. And if your end goal is to sell as many copies of a $70 game as possible, creating confusing hoops for the customer to jump through is not going to help you accomplish that. If Infinity still happens, maaaaybe it's at most a PC-only thing that's a dedicated Assassin's Creed launcher akin to something like the Rockstar Games Launcher, but I doubt it is anything much beyond that. Plus as a achievement/trophy hunter, it would really suck because it would mean the end of Platinum trophies for AC games, considering Sony's new game-collection rule that has led to MWIII and the Tomb Raider remasters releasing without a Platinum on PS5. And everything else aside, I just want my steelbook edition!

I am most interested in Hexe. But I don't know, if it is indeed an uncharted-like, it might kill my excitement. They'd need some great fucking mechanics and story to get me interested in that. I absolutely don't think everything under the sun needs to be open world. But I am already not a fan of any post PS2 Naughty Dog game. I think they are really boring to actually play. So hearing Uncharted sets off a fight or flight response in me. And AC's whole "history is your playground" thing is one of its main appeals to me. I mean, I am a huge fan of PS2 Prince of Persia, and those were also linear. So its not impossible, but PoP had some fun fucking platforming and time mechanics. Climbing and combat as it is in AC without being able to actually explore would not be great.

Man Skull and Bones could’ve been sooooo good if they just had a proper vision for it. Actual pirates doing actual Pirate things! Outside of just piloting a damn ship! And you might ask “Oh how would they manage combat with other players??” Yeah it’s not like Ubisoft has already invented and trademarked a Medieval Melee Combat system that’s really good that would fit right in… OH WAIT THEY HAVE ITS CALLED FOR HONOR For Honor for all its issues has a really well made combat system that would’ve been perfect. The game is already 4v4 so they could’ve kept that aspect and made it like Sea of Thieves but with an emphasis on melee combat. For Honor itself already has a pirate hero even Skull and Bones could’ve expanded on the For Honor combat system. Imagine naval combat but then you land on an island and there’s another crew also looking for treasure and you get to fight them in actually good melee combat. So much potential Ubisoft, so muchhhh potential.

Assassins Creed Codename: Red. Although I would prefer to fight as a Japanese Samurai during the Mongol Invasions, the story of Yaske is truly remarkable. I think Hexe is either gonna be loved or hated. A new style of AC game is obviously good but some older fans might still hate on it and with it focusing on the witch hunts, I imagine a very prominent piece of Eden. The game could feel more magical and I imagine many don't want that especially considering as most don't playable Isu super weapons like the Spear of Leonidas. As an avid AC fan, I'm extremely hyped about AC going forward. The multiplayer coming out next year is even better. After Unity, I thought an AC MMO would be fun. Co-op contracts, retrieve information, blackmail, fight in glorious PvP battles. So much to possibly do for an AC multiplayer game.

@@ac_nerd9794 because those games were RPGs which moved away from stealth and more realistic combat which are some of the things that were part of AC in the beginning. Although Origins was praised, the other two got a lot criticism and just didn’t feel like AC at all. Hexe might still retain some of the things AC is supposed to be about. They only made those games into RPGs because it makes them easier to monetize, that is why Ubisoft tried turning their other franchises into RPGs, and we know how that turned out.

@@redcobra6016 Its not just because they were RPGs. The games had arguably better side quests and more stories to make the player feel like they are a part of the world. Valhalla may have went overboard, but the RPGs still had stealth as a key feature, using different tools such as the Spear of Leonidas and different bows and arrow types. Black Flag was monetized as a pirate game in the ABC universe. It's what we got. Both Odyssey and Valhalla were monetized as the Greek hero and Viking games set in AC. That's why they sold and they are pretty good with the majority of people that play games think Odyssey ranks among the best. Parkour was removed yes, but neither of the ancient games really called for it.

If anything, the RPG ones felt worse in terms of cutscenes because a lot of them weren’t done with motion capture, and that has been a problem with recent AC games and the last Watchdogs. Stealth in those games felt like an afterthought or less important compared to previous games, Ghost of Tsushima had better stealth

Okay Hear Me Out!!... AC Invictus could be the stepping stones to a MMORPG. Now before ppl shoot the idea down lets dive into Fantasy with the Ac Games. All ac games have had some type of "magic items" whether that be the apple of Eden or even to Odin's spear in Valhalla. These items where from the Ancient civilization the ISU. With that being said i wouldn't see an issue with "magic" coming into the Ubisoft Project AC HEXE. Also if we can take the fact of Loki Being Basim and a "Glitch in the animus," Who's to say that there can't be others AKA "the Player" in a hypothetical AC Online type of MMO RPG. AC already has so much lore and additionally can take the ISU anywhere they truly desire. Given that the ISU intended Humans to be their work force/enslave us we already have a great Antagonist. With "Adam and Eve" sparking the revolution we the "Player" now have a fighting cause. As far as the location i think should be a multiple Split/glitched concept of multiple favorited assassin's creed Titles. With the whole theme in mind of being modern day ppl glitching into the animus and leading a revolt to fight the ISU. As we dive further into Fantasy i think different classes should have special abilities to compensate for the Technological advancements/glitches/magic type of fantasy. But nothing to crazy something like AC Mirage Abilities but to also further other type of assassin classes. I believe there should be classes being Egyptian, Pirate, Viking, roman, Shinobi, Samurai and HEXE type of assassin classes with additional classes depending on the future projects of AC. Items in the game could be all that were in previous with additional ISU God lvl items in the game. Guilds will be Presented as well each different in the path of your assassin and Class you chose. Going thru the guilds would be the start of the main story line to have all major guilds conquer and have possession of the "WORLD LEVEL ITEMS" Being Multiple parts of Eden and other artifacts from the ISU time that could cause cataclysmic or even apocalyptic events in the world. adding Templars can prove to be worth wild as well after the Revolution of the ISU (Main Story quest line) the player can now choose The Brotherhood or The Templars. Enticing the player to now choose his or her own path after. dividing the entire game with people that can create multiple character and go down and experience every inch of both sides. Following with more zones and locations such as "Neutral, Passive and Black Market Zones" allowing for PVP, PVE, and as well as PVPVE. --This has been just an idea that i thought would be pretty cool to experience with Ubisoft and if they do it right i believe would see a massive upside. Lmk what y'all think. (Ik that HEXE is more thought out to be a horror and Mirage was okay but man you cantt tell me this kinda concept would be friggin cool.)

it makes me sad that HEX probably uses the same engine as RED. It'll be like the sidescrollers, different settings, compromised system. I wish devs announced ONE game, but that game got all the love. Yeah yeah I know ubisoft has different teams, but teams, regions, deadlines, to ME is a bad recipe.

People are bashing on me for saying that the skull and bones is bad when an actual fact it is because if you want a good game that has slightly worse visuals sometimes even better play Assassin's Creed 4 you can not only plunder ships and castles you can do so many different things in the game you can hunt whales you can do so much more than just shoot a ships and possibly planned that I've never really seen the game so I don't know but you know you can plunder them maybe in this game also if some of the words look a little bit weird it's because I'm using voice to text so anything that say planned I mean plunder

Listen to me. I don’t care how long it takes. I don’t care if I’m 30. I WILL be there say one for black flag. Maybe, if it’s an actual remake, it’ll inspire to finally make a remake for the first game. Like a testing ground. I think they could make it so you have to put a national flag for the British or Spanish to get passed areas or get close to ships before attacking. Can even jsut be cosmetic like you just go around Spanish waters normally with a Spanish flag and when you actually attack it automatically changes to a black flag. - also, very personal but would love to Spanish have their blue and red uniforms instead of yellow and the British maybe smth similar to how they looked in rogue. Idk I like it when factions have their own style
