Explanation of metal trained units: Metal units only take 1 damage from each hit so if a metal unit has 100 hp it will take 100 separate attacks to kill them. However some units have a chance to do critical hits, this critical damage will do double damage to all units and ignored the metal defense doing full damage. Critical damage is an effect that can be searched for in the filter menu. Do not confuse critical with savage blow. Critical can do 2x damage and pierce metal, Savage blow does 3x damage but does not pierce metal.

Also, just so you know Mike, Metal enemies have a unique system with them, they only take 1 damage per hit, but that trait gets ignored if you have a critter (Crittical Hitter) Some examples include: Caveman Cat, Hayabusa (First form only, second form has different targets)

Hi Mike! Nice meatshielding. Also, Metal Enemies take only 1 damage from all cat units. Even the most powerful cats will only deal 1 damage to Metal Enemies. To counter, you could try to spam cats to repeatedly deal damage or use Cat units that have Critical Attacks that ignores Metal Enemies defense and deals double damage. Metal Enemies in early story mode won’t be much a problem until later.

One thing I would like to mention, is that Flashing dancer cat, while he does slow red, that's actually not his main use. The main thing that's good about him is that he just does high damage and has high health. You don't have to worry about pairing him up against red enemies because he does the same amount of damage against all enemies(except metal, but they're weird). The slowing red is just a bonus on top of what he's really good at.

@@SUrfmm2 It is very good, but only if you understand what it's good at and when and how to use it. The main thing is how cost efficient it is for how much damage it does. It's single target also actually makes it great for starting out stages because it can clear out enemies one at a time, doing really big damage, but not pushing too hard, allowing you to build up cash before you push to the base. This is especially good in it's true form once you unlock the double bounty talent, making it an amazing unit for quickly gathering cash at the beginning of stages while also being great for dealing big damage to bosses.

23:03 Cooldown cat does have anti black abilities but they are not a damager and struggle on swarms of enemies due to only having single target. They become really good in true form where their freeze becomes 100% (50% in 1st and 2nd form) and they gain area attack. For now just stick with using damagers like brainwashed flying on dark doge spam. It's just using a different type of crowd Control, rather than freeze, Pure damage. The reason why flower cat is good is because of their freeze ability vs black, but their stats/damage and health are pretty low. They're meant to keep blacks from attacking, not attack. On a different note, In the menu, the cat with the speech bubbles, he's quiz cat he asks 1 question per day for 5 days. If you answer all of them you get a nice stash of cat food. To level cats to 30 you need user rank. That's the scroll tally thing in the corner of your screen, by the calendar button. It increases the more you upgrade the base and units. Collecting it can give you nice rewards and allow your cats to upgrade past certain points. I think rares can upgrade to 30 at 1250 user rank, I could be wrong tho. Ubers will be after that closer to 1500 or 1650. Maybe 1650 is rares? Like I said I don't know the exact number. One way to get more cats is to clear Cyclone stages. There's one everyday ranging from Red cyclone to white cyclone. Each one operating as a different enemy trait. Clearing these stages drops you units with abilities against metal like slow, freeze, and more importantly crit. Cats that can crit are the only way to damage metals, standard attacks (those without crit) only do 1 damage to metal enemies. Crit attacks, however, not only double the units damage (when it procs) but also does 100% of that damage to metal enemies. You're doing far better on meatsheilding. Tank is widely considered the best meatsheild for a reason lol.

Kalisa is a very good angel Rusher unit who at level 30 can deal 42k damage against angels, she makes a stage "clionel ascendant" very easy Summoner Satoru is alright, his main usage comes against an enemy type who you wont see for a while named "Aku" And Oda Nobunaga can 100% freeze black enemies, only one Oda is required to perma-freeze, although flower cat true form can also do that while being cheaper, however when Oda is at 4th form (which sadly you won't see for a long while) he is pretty solid.

Some QoL tips : - Pause the game mid fight and you will find an option to change the deck layout from 1 row to 2 row - Since you are using Bluestack, bind some keys to meatshield cats should make meatshielding a lot simpler - After you have beaten into the future chapter 3, on the 2nd and 22nd day of every month, an awaken stage for flower cat will appear at 2pm for only 2 minutes, so set an alert for that bc flower cat true form is really good

Units with long range's attack goes further that the range that they actually attack from, so they can hit enemies that are hiding in the back instead of just the enemies in front. Think of it as them simply having great aoe as a trade off for not being able to hit things up close. Another great example of this is 29:36. See how D'arktanyan stopped to attack the peons in front, but still hit the bear way in the back? That's because of his long range.

I regularly find myself saying some shit like ''God I fucking hate the black ones, why are they so damn fast'' while playing difficult levels, there comes a point after long playtime where your brain hears black and thinks of the enemy type rather than the irl race.

Like so he can see. Just because a unit has a listed type doesn't mean it is good against that type, it means their ABILITY works on that enemy type. For example, seashore Kai is resistant to her types, so she takes less damage from black and zombie enemies. Kasli has knockback, so she knocks back all traited enemies when she attacks, including metal. She doesn't do extra damage to metal, though as metal enemies take 1 damage from all attacks except critical strikes.

1:56 kalisa is a pretty good angel rusher, in fact she can trivialize clionel ascendant which is an advent stage. Advent stages are challenge stages, their main gimmick is centered around one VERY powerful enemy with the reward being a cat units. Advents come in tiers, tier one is the deadly advents, stage that are usual the third highest difficulty deadly, tier two is merciless advents, their stages are the second highest difficulty merciless and most are upgraded version of deadly advents(these can also only be challenged when you beat the deadly advent tied to it), and finally tier 3 brutal advents, instead of one stage it's 4 with the final housing the reward and being at the highest difficulty, brutal. No need to worry about right now though but you will have to challenge them some day as some of them give AMAZING cat units like river Styx(deadly) which gives train cat or old queen(merciless) which gives the goat slime cat 2:56 oda nobunaga is one of the few cats that has a fourth form, HOWEVER, you need to be all of stories of legend(in fact you should progress through stories of legend a bit as some stages also give units, the first one being very important)and unlock cats eyes to unlock them

It's not necessarily that you don't "know" how to meatshield, it's just that meatshileding in order to be effect has to be consistent. You can't stop sending out meatshields to send out your other units, you need to learn how to send out your other units in between sending out your meatshields. Having them slightly spaced out will also help so they don't clump together and all die in one hit from a single enemy(which is what that video was trying to get out). I'm not sure if you can do this, but since you play on pc, I think key binding could help out.

Hey Bijuu, about the catfruits: they come from special stages that appear every day of the week except the weekends, each day IS a different type of catfruit, there IS also a rare chance of when beating a catfruit stage you get sent to a special stage called "catfruit jubilee" that you have to beat with the same loadout,which there IS a chance of getting a rare catfruit which can be used to true form some super rares and uber sometimes a special event called a "catfruit buffet" appears, in which you can use a high amount of energy but you get to play every catfruit stage in a row with the same loadout Most ubers and super rares which target the aku trait Will require another type of catfruit called a "aku catfruit",but that Will come later The same applies with cats who target relic, which Will require a "ancient catfruit" I Hope This helps you understand catfruits a bit better, If not, you can use the battle cats Wiki, but in anyway, have a great day!😁

mike avoid using cooldown cat right now, he can only target one enemy and isn't guaranteed to freeze until his true form (which you get after finishing the next saga and playing a special stage that only lasts for 2 minutes on the 22nd of the month at 2:22 PM local), also make sure to change your loadout view mode on the pause menu and change your loadout a bit, you need to use either midrange attackers like salon cat and surfer cat or melee attackers like dancing flasher cat and brainwashed ufo cat to kill weaker peons at the start of a stage while you save up for your ubers, take cooldown cat, sadako cat and gardener off of your lineup because they're only good against their targeted traits as crowd controllers and as a tank respectively (although sadako's true form is insanely good at countering enemies with the wave attack ability, the thing brainwashed ufo has)

Great mike for doing stories of legends you should do it along with itf and there are crazed cats which you should get... also great job meatshielding.theres a treasure festivale on empire every even days and treasure festival on future every odd days. Edit:talk to the cat for 3 or 4 days you'll get 777 catfood. Catfruit stages comes in legend stages there are catfruit stages everyday there each with different colors Weightlifter cat is very good for black enemies Cooldown cat is not very good in its 2nd form

Doubt, you'll see this comment, but here's some tips: 1.)Mike for meatsheilding, just use your normal cats: basic cat and tank cat that'll be good enough for now. 2.) I haven't seen anyone say this yet, but for level up priority, do normals->speacial->rares than supers/ubers as they cost the most xp while rares are cheap. This'll get your user rank up, which is needed for unlocks like leveling cats higher & more rewards. (Also side not every 100 user rank u get an offer sometimes to buy darkcateyes would highly reccomend just buying those now since your spending) However, you did get 2 0.1% chance units with kasli & Dart so feel free to level those up first. Kasli should be used in all your lineups going forward! She's a top 10 uber~. Getting the cheaper units up first anyway will help you learn team building. 3.) Becareful of oneguys/negative Andy's in the comments. Some dude with 26 likes was trying to say Kasli mid, which is just wrong. Any uber/epic fest unit is super hard to get & crazy strong. Luckily, all the other comments said how good those 2 units u got were. Don't be afraid to search for info yourself or try different things. Last thing: would recommend watching the channel called: "boogle" for battle cats guides for early on levels & DEF watch his key rares & super rares cat priority video it's really informative so you level the right units.

Flower cat's true form is when he really shines. It has a 100% freeze against black and you get it from a stage in legend stages that only appears the 2nd or 22nd of any month at 2:22 Pm from your device time. The stage is only there for a minute so make sure to get it as soon as possible in case you need it. It is REALLY useful for a lot of black enemies stages. This is a really good video. I recommend you to use their meat Shields. Like wall cat, boogie cat and others but not to much. Oh and I can tell you to not use cooldown cat until the mid/late stories of legends black enemies. But you can draw weight lifter cat is great with black enemies. I suggest you to upgrade him. Soon, you will be a pro in no time just try your best and do not give up. Have a good day.

there are crazed cat events which happen every 3 days. basically, they’re upgraded versions of the normal cats locked behind hard stages (much easier with d’ark). once you get them the best meatshields for most stages will be wall cat and crazed wall cat. there are some exceptions but you won’t need to worry about those for a while. before you get them, use macho and wall cat, anything above 200 shouldn’t be used as one in most situations

Hey just a bit of a quality of life improvement. When you hop in your next level, hit pause and check out the hud settings. There are two different types of hud settings, the first of which you currently have equipped where you have to switch between two different pages of cats to deploy them, and the second one that just puts both on the screen at once so you don’t have to keep switching. For me it makes it easier to meat shield and send out Ubers at the same time.

Kalisa is one of the best anti angel units in the game. Summoner Satoru is one of the best anti Akus(actually an insanely hard trait later on, so super good you pulled a good counter already). I don't have much to say about Oda since I don't have him, from what I know, he's ok, but becomes unnecessary later on when you get a free unit that does his job better than he does. Congrats, none of them are anywhere near contenders for top uber spots, but Kasli and Satoru are some of the best at what they do, and having a consistent roll is often much more reliable and valuable than simply being strong.

Tip: just because a unit targets a trait (like flower cat targets black enemies), it doesn’t mean they do more damage / take less damage unless they have a specific ability for that (like “strong” or “massive damage”)

You can change your battle formation in the pause menu to make it easier to send out units instead of having to constantly flip when you want to send out your units in the second row

congrats on learning meatshielding! (you pretty much figured it out once you equipped wall cat). Eventually you will figure out how much you need to meatshield to protect yourself so you save up for more expensive units rather than immediately meatshielding at the start of the level when there are no enemies yet. With the ubers you currently have the levels will be a bit easier for a good while (still harder than empire of cats of course). What's funny about battle cats is that the levels are designed around the units that were available at the time they were made. So a new player still has to beat all the same levels even though there are a lot more powerful units nowadays. Luckily treasures are only in the chapters (empire of cats, into the future, cats of the cosmos). With legend stages no treasures are there and instead you find stages for upgrade materials. The 3 ubers you just got are okay have have their uses, but usually FEST units are far and above more powerful in general. I think the only thing that's left to learn that's really important is learning to read the cat dictionary properly. If you go to the cat dictionary and click on any cat, then click and hold on one of the icons in the top right, you will see what the cat actually does. For example: cooldown cat has a freeze ability and the only color it has is black. This means that Cooldown cat has a set chance to freeze any black enemy. (unfortunately the percentage is not shown and you have to look at the battle cats wiki to get the exact percentage). This will better help when deciding what units to bring for a specific stage.

You can get cat fruits by doing "Growing (color)" stages, I really recommend you to do behemoth culling stages too to get the N101 egg (when you evolve the egg it will turn into Courier cat which is one of the BEST cat for red enemy,even not for red enemy he still have really high dps) (you claim egg reward from Mission rewards btw,not drop from the stage)

Here’s a tip Rockstar cat is a good Angel meat shield. (Fully upgraded and you’ll get Ramen cat who is an amazing meat shield) Weightlifter Cat is an amazing Anti-Black killer just an FYI.

Mike, I recommend getting and evolving sumo cat. One of your ubers is "Detective Vigler" and when sumo cats evolves form and detective Vigler are in the first row, a cat combo is created. This one in particular is one of the best cat combos in the game. It reduces cooldowns of units, although it's more effective on lower cooldow units(by the way, the lowest a cooldown can be is 2 seconds, so he can't reduce their cooldows, but for your cats that aren't insanely long(=ubers) or meatshields, it makes them a LOT better)

Hey Mike! There are some treasures that increase your energy. If you continue through the into the future section youll get more treasures for energy as well later on in the levels Also when it comes to black enemies, even if a unit has the black attribute, doesn’t mean they destroy black enemies. Cooldown cat only has a chance to freeze a black enemy. Units that say “strong against” or “massive damage” are the damage dealers for those types. I’d recommend weightlifter cat. It can destroy black enemies

alright first of all metal enemies: metal enemies take only 1 damage from any type of cat which is why you need to get cats with critical attacks, especially for later. jurassic cat does criticals at times so you should try using that one. black enemies: cooldown cat is not good! even your brainwashed ufo is so much better. you have the super rare weightlifting cat, please upgrade it since it is the best cat against blacks for you currently. meatshielding: do not spam your meatshields right at the beginning of a stage, try to save up money for your stronger cats first, only when you have a stronger cat out you should send meatshields. if enemies come before you are able to get your ubers, defend them with stronger super rares like your flasher cat (or weightlifting cat as i mentioned before) together with a few meatshields. also the normal cat, tank cat and boogie cat (special rare) are very good meatshields for your current level. ubers: d'arktanyan is incredibly good against traitless (white) enemies so use him for that, kasli is good against anything else, except traitless, so both of them together should be able to win you most stages for a while. legend stages: legend stages go on for a very very long time so you should actually go for into the future first since that is way faster to clear+legend stages are harder as you get further. though you should get the first reward cat from the legend stages since it will be helpful later on. super rares: as mentioned before, super rares are a great option for defeating early enemies, surfer cat is great against aliens and overal such a good cat just like flasher so leveling both would be great, for other traits weightlifting is good for blacks, juliet/toaster cat are good for angels, sushi cat is very good for reds, swimmer cat is incredible against floating, vaulter cat is good against zombies and as i said jurassic should be enough for metals. hope that helps ^^

Hey Mike, I'm an endgame Battle Cats player. Great 11 pulls you got. Kalisa is extremely good on nuking angels. Satoru is amazing on Aku but you won't meet them for maybe a while. Nobunaga isn't really good but he does Permafreeze Black enemies. Remember, grind treasures during treasure fest for maximum efficiency, Do outbreaks if you can for cat food, and save catfood for future banners (Best of the Best is coming soon).

Cool vid heres some advice: metal enemies only take 1 dmg per hit, unless you crit them. When you get chapter 3 treasures pls do into the future (ITF is way shorter/ eaiser and gives more treasure and units.) when you get the chance you should attempt to get a crazed cat, preferably crazed tank, all I got to say is the double walls are the BEST generalist meat shields. I might as well leave you some tips because I’m enjoying this series, 1. You should upgrade rocker cat because they become an extremely valuable unit later in the game and are generally just good 2. You should build a general load out. A team that can deal with almost any type of opponent that’s thrown at you. Generally this would mean 2-3 meatshields, 2 generalists, maybe a long range attacker, and then what ever else you would want if there’s room. 3. Finally, you should do the 10th anniversary stages to get all the rewards for them. Most of them are easy and give good rewards. Hope this helps.😊

Bijuu, metal enemies are a problem because they take 1 damage for every attack, the only bypass are critical hits(i recommed jurassic cat if you have them). Good luck with further progress Edit: also the materials(bricks, sprockets, etc.) Are used to build things for your defences, like other cat cannons/more base health. You do this by swiping on gamatoto's area to building and activating it

Hey Mike, Battle cats KZbinr here! I recommend you put away your flower cat for a better meatshield, preferably Wall Cat/Tank Cat, he is one of the most overpowered meatshields, so make sure to use him as he is very spammy and OP.

Seeing new players play this goofy game are always a treat despite some of them not getting past midgame Though do read unit descriptions and their abilities so you would know what their role are, for example cooldown cat's main job is stopping black enemies with his freeze ability, not killing them because his role is strictly being a crowd controller. Infact if you sent out brainwashed ufo (an anti traitless), it would be more effective against the horde of black doges as cooldown has single target (gains area attack on his true form though) and his damage isnt really that great especially later on.

YO MIKE!!! For meatshielding, I recommend taking out brainwashed brave cat and replacing him with wall cat. The reason for that is because brainwashed brave cat is pretty expensive for a meatshield, and you'll come to stages where meatshields get one shotted so what matters most with meatshields are prices and cooldowns (HIGHLY recommend getting boogie cat if you haven't already)

while it seem that some cats are "good" on a certain type it doesnt always that useful there are different categories for that like freeze, slow, damage and others just because it says it will be good on this type is not always true on some enemies, someone like hip hop/flasher cat it says that hes good on red but all he do is slow them and single target so its not that useful but what hes really known for is his true form which gives him insane damage/dps and a lot of health for his low cost and when you get talents(after future chapter 3) you can unlock his double money when he kill an enemy which makes him one of the best non ubers in the entire game

For meatshielding, the goal is to spend as little as possible to keep your main DPSs like kasli alive. Thats why the meatshields are there to tank one hit (if possible more) and then die. To pick a meatshield you're looking for units that can do one or more of A) get to frontlines quickly B) be deployed cheaply--Ideally between 50-150 C) has an ability to tank a trait (this can be seen with Unit Info on the equip page. The issue with using brainwashed axe to meatshield is that while it works early game in EoC, youll start to notice after that its underperforming or draining too much money from your wallet. Axe cat is well known as the worst cat variant with very limiting uses, and while better, brainwashed axe is still on the worse end of the spectrum for cats. In early game youd ideally want 2 or 3 meatshields with harder stages sometimes requiring 4. These meatshields can be Macho Cat, Tank Cat, Boogie Cat, Coin Cat, Catburger, or any other cheap unit thats there to soak hits. There are other meatshields for other traits, these are usually found in the Rare cats category. Some of these cats include Ramen for angels, Catellite for Aliens, Shigong for Zombies. Stories of Legend is different from other story chapters in which you dont need to grind treasures. There are 49 subchapters with around 6 stages each, completing these chapters usually drop materials such as bricks, feathers, sprockets, wood, etc. Every once in a while you will run into a boss stage that once beaten has a 3% chance of dropping the boss as a unit (most of these units arent very good without TF). Finally, while it is good that your progress is faster thanks to Kasli and Darkt, keep in mind that you need to pay attention to other units and upgrade them as well. NEVER get tunnel vision and try to speedrun chapters because more often than not you'll end up with severely underlevelled units and be stuck. I feel it fits in saying this game is a marathon, not a sprint. Hope you keep enjoying the Battle Cats and dropping banger videos!

mike you should get crazed cats then start playing in to the future, after itf you get cat combos, use recearch up combo with rocker and metal cat is one of if not the best meatshield in the game. (99% of late game is recearch up combo rocker but you need to boost rockeras much as posible. rocker is better because most 75/150 cent meatsheild do not have +levels. but rocker do, also with "talents" you get after true forming rocker witch give rocker multiplicative hp boost along with 70% resistant from enemies knockback and slow.

Hey Mike, You’re able to open the menu while playing any stage and change the way the bar that holds your cats shows, normally you have to scroll to get to your other cats, but you can change it to where they are all displayed next to each other Also, meat shields aren’t cats that are expensive, they aren’t supposed to do tons of damage, it’s just cheap cats (normally 75 or so each) that you can spam so they take all the damage instead of your good units.
