Keep on “trucking” fella’s!!!! Not only is y’all’s farm kick a$$ with your tractors, implements, and innovation…y’all portray legitimate farm life in an area that is hard to produce product our country (any many others) sorely need.

Problems with a contractor??? Say it aint so. LOLOL They're all alike as in very unreliable when it comes to staying on schedule. When we built our last house, I put (kickers) in the contract for every sub contractor. Finish early = nice bonus, finish late, my price paid goes down. For every day missed, I get one full free day of labor. Amazingly, very single sub finshed slightly ahead of schedule or just on time. At the time, contractors were plentiful and there was a lot of them available. These days, I'm not sure where the market is. Love the Big Buds, miss seeing your dog riding on the big fender with your dad at the wheel.

Nick and Scott's sister mentioned in a reply above...that the basement digger had a health issue, which is obviously not a helpful thing from a time perspective ...for Nick and his family, but lot's of folks have had delays from "various things" the last few years...just sayin'..... I hope the contractor is healthy again soon! Thanks to our farmers/ranchers/dairymen and contractors ...indeed all workers and military and first responders...nurses and Doctor's...we 🇺🇸 are in a much better place than most, elsewhere...and have a cornucopia of things to be thankful for this 🦃 day! And remember our POWs and MIAs!

Nick that handyman jack can be a killer especially on fingers. I came up with a easy way to hookup hydraulic hoses and that is the left hose on any remote I put on a tiny zip tie and whatever 2 hoses that go in the same remote I put big zip ties around both hoses so like the remote all the way to the left I put one big zip tie around both hoses and a little one around the left hose that remote usually lifts the implement and the next remote to the right I would put 2 big zip ties around both hoses and a little one around the left hose and that remote would control the wings this way you don't have to get in and out of the tractor to get the hoses right and then anyone can hook up the implement right the first time. And if you have to use the 3rd or 4th remote you can put 3 zip ties around the 2 hoses that go into the 3rd remote and 4 around the 4th remote and a little zip tie around the left hose on any remote as I found that this is a fast and easy way of hooking up implements tip for you.

Easily. For instance the 1978 525 was bought for 80k, 2 transmissions and a rebuilt engine for a total of 20k, 2 sets of new tires at 18k for a total of 120k. That's 3k a year for 40 years and it is still worth 100k.

Good morning Fellows, Nick I want to ask this question, why are you going so fast using the chisel plow with the wide sweeps on that rough worked ground, I though it would be better at 1 mile per hour slower would do a better job, I thought you may damage the Chisel plow it was very rough, just something to think about, maybe a 80 ft model would suit the Big Bud Better , the extra width at a slower speed would do a great job, good to see you & Dad working on the Big Bud , they need a little care and attention once in a while ,they are still one of the best Tractors Built, Man I never see snow here in my home town , only in Texas I saw snow for the first time ,it rained from Cherokee Texas to San Saba Texas then after we did a little shopping we turned for home to Cherokee Ranch it was snowing all the way back, Man it was a weird feeling, next morning there was a foot of snow, here now its 33c nice and warm, 😅 on that note Great video Fellows , Cheers & Best Wishes Trevor.W.Bacelli. When doing a leak down check. Plumb in a "t" with a pressure gage that is close to the sest pressure. So a 22 psi you should look for a 25 to 30 psi gauge. Air it up and let it sit 24 hours normally. In your case with that long of a run I would give it 2 or 3 days minimum. I don't think the Schrader valve setup is very accurate. Most city building codes will have the water system tested for 24 hours at 100psi. With gas systems the test pressure is different.
