If ever a company needed a revisit it's this one. I'd be very, VERY interested to see how seriously they and your environmental people deal with this. Excellent discovery DJ. More businesses need to be held accountable. It's not just the number of solar panels they have that go toward the planet's clean-up.

This video is the perfect example of why people need to audit these places on industrial estates because allowing plastic pellets to fall onto the floor for wildlife to confuse as food and to fall into the water drainage system can cost these companies fines of over £100,000+ for pollution and endangering wildlife. I also think you should re-visit some of the worst offenders to see if they take note or don't give a shit. And wonder whats goes into the river at the back ??

I work as an environmental health practitioner last 30 years in the safety auditing field. Look we inspect all. I intend to make a complaint to this shoddy business regarding this serious matter. As you quite rightly say wildlife will probably eat those pellets. It’s absolutely disgusting. And there’s no excuse for it. And the two men that lied regarding the pellets being cleaned up daily is also absolutely disgraceful. The whole place stinks of shoddy careless practices. Outstanding work mr Audits. The officer could have shown more appreciation and understanding to what you told him and showed him. But he was fairly reasonable. Great video, these pellets are a nightmare especially when they are entering the wildlife and getting into the water course and drainage systems. As for the fork trucks what would happen if they were to be involved in a road traffic accident. The driver would be the one losing his license and possibly having a personal injury claim against him. If it was a member of the public driving around without registration, tax and insurance the police would be on you like a ton of bricks.

I've worked for two companies where I have spoken to a director or senior manager about issues that junior management and supervisors are ignoring or causing and they have said they are completely unaware of it and invited me to go to them direct with any further issues, so it is often kept from them. Not that that's an excuse. They should all be aware of what's going on.

The directors should walk around the site once or twice a month as part of HSEQ audit, at random unannounced times. They may well think of ways to improve the business whilst having a stroll around. Health and safety law (HASAWA 74) applies to anywhere a person can get to. The pipe at the side of a public path is a trip hazard for anyone stepping off that path - the company need to either remove the hazard or mark it up / barrier it, as they are liable for any issues arising from it. Action needs to be taken against them and reported to the Environmental Agency (EA) and also the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) also report to the police about the fork lift using the road with tax and insurance under Road Traffic Act. The road is maintained as a mixed responsibility. Also should be charged for wasting police time.

There’s industrial estates around green bank police station. It would be interesting to see the response from the police around there as they are not all as polite as this officer and you would certainly run rings around their knowledge or massive lack of it.

That's why I said is there a Injunction or something as they normally have signs all over the place but nothing at all. So wherever you are from, you can walk up and down that public footpath all day long with your camera and the police should not be called unless a crime is suspected.

Police don’t only deal with crime, police deal with calls received. People don’t know what is a crime, same as the police don’t. People in HiVis tabards are the legal eagles in my book, they should be listened to intently and then……told to frig off.

So he comes out to ask you questions and when you start asking him questions he doesn't have time for you. Also, They don't seem to like being told what to do by a non-employee but I bet they inform employees of their short comings all the time. Edit: and they clearly only like to look like they are for the environment, not actually be for looking after it.
