I watched the clip where Simo died in slowmotion 5 times to see what happened. He was sitting drinking during combat in front of everyone. He got breathed by the fire elemental because the druid tank didn't turn the fire elemental just in time. After that, he got RNG hit with fire blossom for the remainder of his 60% health. He did not powerword shield himself during the encounter, he didn't potion and he didn't drink a fire protection potion. He was unluckey but he also did not play correctly either. Still unfortunate but that's just how it goes

Pro tip if you're DoTing multiple adds before shadow bolting a main target, pop ur CDs on the DoTs since they scale with spell power way better than shadow bolt does, and you can get more total casts off while your CDs are up. Assuming the adds will live most of the way through the DoTs anyway.

Honestly it's pretty confusing, the official rules for the hardcore addon and community state that you reach immortality once you get 60, but no one seems to include that for some reason.

The way threat works on Ony is everyone she hits with her fireball in P2 has their threat get wiped in descending order of threat. So she will often wipe the tanks threat before being brought down. you can have ranged purposefully stack for a cast though to have all their threat get wiped

Are druids fairly accepted as tanks now? When I originally played classic people still had a massive stigma against them. Then again people were hitting deathwish and recklessness while fury tanking in leather.....

I believe druids have the highest single target threat generation in the game, as well as the highest health pool. They’re good for tanking bosses but not so much trash and they don’t deal a lot of damage. I think they are very reliant on manual crowd pummelers though.

Not only is their damage the worst in the game outside of hunters and meme specs, it has a tendency to get spiky crits that pull aggro. it’s pathetic how he puts peoples hard work at risk all because he wants to “pump” on a version game where the rotation of most classes is “press shadow bolt”. They’re also taking anything even remotely challenging out of the already easiest raid in the game by being in a late phase and therefor having access to easily obtainable strong gear, and then they’re getting full wbuffs AND using flask of supreme power on top of it which is a flask that literally gives more spell power than the current wrath of the lich king sp flask two expansions later.

Some of those fire mobs do a spell that targets a random player. Think it's called fire blossom. Does like 3k fire dmg. He was already 70% hp from standing in a fire breath and got instakilled. If you are omegaunlucky you can also get hit by several in a very short window.

So I watched this over and over, and even looked up the skills for the first mob, and I didn’t see Anotniohunt get hit with anything. I at first thought he should have deleted his toon, but after much analysis, he just FD right after the speech lol His character is bottom left of the screen, if you want to see for yourself. I even zoomed in and looked to see if a spell cast got off on him, or if anything hit him, but it was just a simple FD. I was in the same boat as you, thinking the same thing, but after going over the start of the video, and looking at the timing of the speech and his death, it seems to coincide with an FD to scare everyone LOL (I even had a post written up about him continuing after he died 😂)

Afaik no. I believe the system they are using is as follows : The Raiders get 2 soft reserve slots per raid. And they can use them on the same item to get 2 rolls instead of 1. If anyone soft reserved an Item only those who soft reserved get to roll. If noone soft reserved an item like with the ignition cord all who need the item can roll.
