Benjamine Moore is a premium paint brand here in Canada, I’m a bldg maint. manager in one of the major tourist destinations here in Alberta and that’s one of my go to brand for high commercial grade paints I use for our hotel.

Semi-gloss or gloss are for rooms that has moisture such as bathrooms and kitchen. Matt finish is good for rooms that have a lot of windows and you don’t want your walls to reflect or shine when in direct light. The wall color changes it’s color if there’s a glossy finish. So better get Matt finish in your living room.

Had multiple houses in the US and had been using eggshell finish from Benjamin Moore as advised by the interior designer in NYC for whom my husband works.

Mike and Nelly, use the matte paint finish on walls. The more glossy the paint, the more it shows imperfections on the wall, and unevenness in application of the paint. It will also be harder to paint a second or third coat over the glossier paints as you may need to sand them in between layers. The sheen on walls is not as nice as you imagine. You can paint baseboard molding an eggshell or pearl finish.

In 1996, my friend and I experimented how to paint on tiles. It was a success and we did it for a client's store using a well known paint 😊

Nice! Benjamin Moore paint is pretty expensive but high quality paint. Good choice! I wonder if they formulated their paint differently though because the paints here in NA are formulated for drywalls or gypsum boards but drywalls aren’t that common in the Philippines. Interior walls there are usually concrete. I used to work in a paint store when I was younger.

Scuff is good I got flat finish all throughout my unit. Contractor recommended it as it is easy to clean even with flat finish. Also good with scratches. Home Depot in US have the same where they can mix color for you and have paint experts nearby to assist.

Advise: there are 4 sides in a room. Select 1 side where it is your focal point: I.e. where your sofa or your bed is located. That wall will be the darkest shade in the room. The rest of the walls will be the lightest shade in the room.

I would prefer straight pre-mixed colors for paint job available off the shelve. Its hard to do a retouch if you would opt for a custom color. Shades could be different from the original paint. Well this is just me, this still depends on the person. 🤗🤗🤗
