Babies/toddlers are so loving and compassionate. My heart melted when he wanted to kiss his baby brother. The tenderness and empathy that they have is amazing. For eczema: The ointment the doctor prescribes usually works well. It starts going away the same day. To maintain, use fragrance free soaps and lotions or something mild and organic. Luke warm water. Hot water irritates it. Also, the area the rash is in doesn't have to be washed everyday. When there is a breakout dont wash it. Wipe with water and apply prescription. Don't cover with clothing but let it dry out.

yes fragrance free cleansers and lotions because those tend to be less irriating. Also maybe they could try cereve baby healing ointment becasue thats also very thick and has ceremides that help with mainting the skins moisture barrier.

I don't have anything to add but just wanted to confirm that Vanzig comment is accurate. I as an adult have severe eczema and it becomes irritated with hot water and fragrance products (body wash, lotions, etc.). I get flare ups when I get upset or too hot to the point where it's painful to the touch (if I scratch it'll bleed). Unfortunately I don't know what products you can use for baby Savi because nothing store bought worked/works for me (not the clay or oatmeal bath, not the a&d ointment, aquaphor, cortisone 10, aveeno none of it. The itch would go away for a few minutes and come back with a vengeance) and the prescribe ointment from the doctor started to age my skin after days of using (so I immediately stopped that). The only thing that works for me is a body butter my mother in law makes me from scratch (thank God).

I really love your channel!! Your family seems so down to earth. I love the realness of raising children on a day to day. Beautiful family. My daughter has eczema since she was 3 months old . We use vanicream soap unscented and eucerin eczema lotion. You can use the baby eucerin .Works wonders. Also, limit hot baths and when bringing him out the bath don’t dry him completely put a lot of lotion on him unscented of course❤ try washing his clothes with free and clear detergent of dyes, perfumes, etc. This part takes trial and error. I find that downy free and clear works well for my daughter.Praying for baby shine to get better soon

My son has had bad eczema since birth. Keeping him more out of the sun, along with luke warm baths, hydrocortisone and oatmeal baths help with the itching and spreading. It's gotten better as he's gotten older, which is encouraging. Hopefully you guys will find something that works best for you and your baby ❤

Poor Shine! He still so happy & cute. For the baby’s skin - I recommend “tubby todd” their OOO cream is amazing! semi-pricey but welllll worth it. A little goes a long way and you can use all over baby body, diaper rashes, spot treatments. It’s miracle in a bottle

Eczema mom here! My son is super sensitive to any fragrance. I’m pretty sure A&D has fragrance listed in the ingredients. Vanicream products work very well for my son’s skin. They are a super clean brand.

My son would get dry patches and my doctor told me that baths everyday was the problem. So I would start giving baths every other night and doing a quick bed bath on the other nights. It’s just submerging your body in water daily is going to naturally dry you out. But it definitely helped my son! To each is own but this is what helped me!

Oats, breastmilk, and any edible oils like olive oil are always super moisturizing and good for babys skin and especially for the little ones with eczema!

You can soak a washcloth in ( gently) warm water and a little baby shampoo and apply it to the area intermittently for about 5 minutes before bedtime. The swelling will go down considerably in the morning and it will heal. It works wonders. Nice recovery baby Shine! Beautiful family!

Oatmeal baths and Aquaphor. Aveeno has oatmeal packets. I used this regimen on my daughter who has eczema. Changing the detergent you use to wash his clothes, and you may have to speak with his pediatrician or lactation consultant about your diet as that may be causing his eczema.
