Had full VB with auto levelling fitted at A&E on our Kontiki 784 in December . Nathan dealt with us . He was great . They did a fabulous job .

@ now that I had it done , I am going around the van with double sided foam tape . Identifying all the annoying rattles and vibrating plastic trims trying to quieten the noise down . Noticeable are the trims above the driver and passenger head around the skylight . Even with air suspension , they still rattle over bumps . But yes , we love the full air . Glad I had it done . A&E also offered if we wanted it , to take over our Swift Servicing but we are staying with our existing dealer . ….. next update for us … March , Swift changing our water tanks , also refitting out Hab door and frame to cure leak in footwell .

We understand what you mean with the rattles as I've gone around the van to sort most of them out. However, there is a couple of new ones or ones we didn’t hear before the air suspension. Due to how quiet to van is when driving now. That's good you are getting the tanks changed as they shouldn’t rattle and the hab door sorted 😊 we haven’t had issues with water getting in like yourself or others we have heard about. I would like to say we have ironed out everything now but no doubt things will pop up to be done, it's part of owning a van 🤣

@@lifes4touring do you think the auto level function would be enough instead of levelling system ? Or still needs levelling system as well

Hi Malcolm, we are still working that out for ourselves however we was on a big slope this weekend and it levelled us out fine when i didn’t think it would have. Also it really depends what you want as a levelling system will give you a solid base and the auto level still has movement when moving around in the van, better than it was though. Levelling system will also level you out on a bigger gradient. So it has some pro's over the auto level but like we say we haven’t had it long enough yet to see it we need the levelling system as well. Hope this helps and happy travels 😊

We had semi air suspension fitted, leveling system that measure the weight fitted by A&E, we stayed on a site near by that was paid for by A&E, great service and going to have the front suspension struts and springs replaced with VB system in a few weeks time.

Excellent video on this. It’s been the best one I’ve seen. Glad to hear you were impressed with the ride. I’ll be definitely be showing this to Averil. Obviously that doesn’t mean it’s a go go but you never know. I actually spoke with Nathan last year at the February show hopefully I’ll be seeing him again there. The roads in Spain have been awful especially on the west down to the coast.

@@lifes4touring I was impressed with the levelling especially at your storage yard. I’ve always thought would it be lower if you lowered it completely then use the self levelling from that point would make a difference in the height. We’ve seen so many MH with the hydraulic lift system that look too high to get into the van.

@@lifes4touring I bet you won’t use your levelling ramps that much from now on. I fitted some Alko rear steadies that really help keeping the from moving when walking around in the van.

We are hoping we can get away with the ramps now and free up room in the garage. Also, it feels a lot more steady on the airbags as we were worried it might be worse but it's not. Alko rear steadies are a good idea 😊

Hi Darrell, the main reason I made the journey to A&E was the cost was a little cheaper and recommendations from friends that have had work done by them. Our friends were right as their workmanship and customer service. The answer to your other question is £8900 so it's not cheap and one of the main reasons we was having to really consider if the cost was worth it. So far we feel it was 👍 Happy travels 😊

@ hi Lee all I can say is ouch on the price but having been a boat owner for 20 years that is still a lot cheaper than an upgrade on a boat . We have purchased a new MH and I have already spent £7k on an electrical upgrade with bluefix . Want my van to be the best it can so I can see why you would spend that … I’ll be speaking with them at the NEC this month. . I'm very interested to watch this as I had the VB semi air fitted on my van (same model as yours) and it's made no diffreence to the ride comfort at all and you can't raise the height more than 15mm which is no use to man nor beast

Hi, is the semi-air with springs as well as airbags? Having the airbags on all 4 wheels has made a great difference so far. Raising the height is one of the main reasons for us what real difference it makes we will know the more we use the motorhome. 👍

@@two4wheels we have VB semi suspension on our van. The ride is a bit better but it is the handling that is much improved - the rear of the van seems to now cooperate! Our fitters stressed that it isn't intended for levelling - that's a different product - but the rear of the van is noticeably higher. We have been trying different pressures around the standard 2 bar.

Vb is probably a great addition but I wouldn’t let the clowns at A&E leisure work on my vehicle full stop !!!, they fitted the wrong aircon unit which at the the time they said was impossible, they said they found damp in the bathroom so bad the wooden frame was rotten, this was a burstner ixeo which is wood free in construction, these clowns where clueless, someone else would have been probably rinsed for thousands, there was other stuff as well. Hopefully you have a better experience.

I’ve got VB on my Transporter, about 9 months in and no issues to report. There are some horror stories, but I’m sure the right fitter is crucial. Pull up, press the self-level and bosh all done 😎 Also great when car park headroom is tight.
