We have a New Ceiling! Renovating on a Budget.

Drywall installation is complete on the south wall and Grant is working on mudding. We installed the ceiling in our guest room. We're making great progress with the renovatons but you’re probably wondering why we haven’t installed the front door yet... Let’s show you what not to do with your wood.

Я думаю , что дерево для дверей изогнулось не по твоей ошибке. Прошли времена , когда из дерева делали самолеты и корабли . И вместе с этими временами ушли навыки сушки дерева. Сегодня древесину засунут в большую микроволновку на пару часов , потом распилят и быстро продадут. А затем начинается самое интересное и печальное .... Дерево досыхает еще на 3-5%, при этом проявляются все внутренние напряжения которые оно получило при быстрой выгонке влаги , потом опять сохнет , потом опять намокает .....А при распиловке такой доски она начинает зажимать пильный диск или наоборот, отгибается в сторону.... Я изучал техническую литературу столетней давности по этому вопросу . Это почти магия . Надеюсь , вы решите эту проблему.

Thank you! ❤️ I certainly didn’t store my wood properly though. I can’t believe I left it just sitting on the workbench. 🤦🏽‍♀️ The rest of the lumber I’ve bought is stored properly and it’s doing fine, although I bought the pine lumber green so the drying has happened naturally.
