Ben, Born and raised in Ft Lauderdale, that mall was built when I was 4 years old, I'm 74 now. Originally the Sunrise Center, it is still a nice place. Malls have suffered because of the damn internet, but nothing will ever replace the feel of shopping in person. It's an experience not just products. I can't imagine what the nut is on that asset.

Would be curious to know how much rent and property tax as in 74 in relation to the purchasing power of the currency these days. I assum (but may be wrong) that besides the Internet rent and fees (property taxes/insurance) were way cheaper, and with that the shops within such center would have less of a hard time (and maybe better prices for the customers). In general: Roughly how much of a $10 subway or starbucks is going towards taxes, insurance and rent these days?

Cherry creek mall in Denver is a high end mall and charges low rates for parking after an hour. In season sometimes they allow the gates open just to help with traffic . But I’ve also been to this mall you are looking at in Broward and not my favorite , needs major demos/remodels in my opinion.
