We Have a Voice - A Panel of Individuals with ASD (2014)

Seattle Children’s Autism Center’s medical director, Charles Cowan, MD, hosts a panel of individuals with autism on a discussion on what it is like to have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and what they want others to know about themselves and the disorder.

I spoke on an autism panel, twice this year. Once was at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. I was the oldest person on panel, and when they asked us questions, they asked us some of the same stuff. They also asked us about our school experiences, and I got really emotional talking about some of mine, and how nobody in school liked me. I honestly think everyone else did better than I did, because I'm the only one who ended up crying in front of everyone. But at the end of it all, people did tell me I did a good job speaking about my experiences, apart from getting emotional.

Great panel, thanks for sharing. There are panel members on many different parts of the spectrum, which makes the panel fair and balanced. I appreciate the KZbin videos of ***** with regards to neurodiversity, and will look for more of your upcoming KZbin videos in the future.
