Probably the least known of all John Barry s Bond theme songs. Lyrics by Hal David. According to John Barry “ Louie Armstrong was to I’ll to play his trumpet but had just enough strength to do the vocals”. The song was “ too heavy” to use in the opening credits forcOHMSS but was used in the middle of the film as a montage with George Lazenby and Dianna Rigg. A heartbreakingly beautiful song and a great cover.

There are some songs that are owned by one person, in this case John Barry and Satchmo, Louis Armstrong, two legends. But this cover has borrowed ATTITW with great beauty, excellent phrasing and feeling. John Barry may not technically be a knight of UK but to many admirers he deserves to be called Sir John.
