1. To kill mold - First try a 10% solution of bleach and water (that's 9 to 1), or washing the areas with vinegar. Federal disaster assistance will be in your area and they Weill help. We had flooding in my area. I live 400 ft. above the flooded area and disaster assistance asked if I needed to file a claim. To prevent the problem in the future check the caulking around the windows. 2. Better to jump on the mats than on the bed! Great idea.

Guys, what we know as fall where I live doesn't happen in Florida until December, so don't worry over decorations. :-) We have Christmas stuff in a few stores. As for Halloween be creative, don't worry about all the traditional stuff.Some of it is too spooky for me.Anyway half the girls make their own wardrobes and dress as some family from the 1920s or something. Or if you want fall colors, the 80s home uniforms that the Astros wore with those fancy stripes.

Just keep drying it because it’s not completely dry. My grandpa tried to fix their toilet alone and ended up busting it and flooded their house (closet was carpet). We kept a fan inside the closet for a couple of days. Didn’t add anything else and it’s fine. The smell is gone also.

Get a hydrometer. Get a lot of them. They tell you the humidity level in a room and temperature. Be aware of of high humidity levels is when mold grows. Amazon sells a lot of them.

The mold is most likely in the wood inside the walls. You can mask the smell but the mold will still be growing. Your landlord needs to hire a professional cleaning company. Mold is nothing to mess around with. It can take over everything you own. This happened to my sister. She moved into her 1st house and 3 months later her house was covered in mold from one heavy rain storm. It got on everything. They lost a house and everything they owned. Please call a professional cleaning company.

I’d recommend renting like an industrial de humidifier to suck out all the moisture in the room/ carpet area to help ensure mold doesn’t grow
