Great video Greg. We installed an Envirovalve in our Jayco Journey, supplied by Prestige in Plimmerton, cost of the valve + plumber around $600. We had it installed for the shower and hand basin only, as we boil the water for the dishes and use a bowl in the sink. The difference has been dramatic, and we have pretty much halved our water usage (and doubled our grey water time). The limiting factor now is our toilet cassette (we may get a spare) and our miserly solar in winter (which we're addressing now through Motorhome and Solar).

I put a 2 litre Systema jug under the shower rose, turn the mixer on full hot, wait for warm/hot water to arrive & use that water for rinsing the toilet after use! Saves $650.00 & water at the same time!

Very interesting! I don't have one, so when I turn my hot water on I waste water as I wait for the hot to arrive. Luckily my sink is right above the hot water tank (which is already hot water, not heated on demand), so that's very quick. The shower is a bit further away so I do waste a bit for that. But I realised one tip if you have a mixer tap: - Turn the mixer to full hot water then turn it on, so it's not pumping cold water out at the same time while I wait for the hot. Then once the hot arrives, mix in the cold. In theory it should be the same as it's the same pressure and pump, but I think less water comes out when it's on hot only. So I should be saving a bit of cold water while I wait... Cheers, Tim

Hi Glenn Always good to catch up with humorous people on the road maybe we will be in Aussie in the future. The valve works on both tank and mains pressure so you have to wait for hot water for a minute when plugged on to mains. Thanks For watching .

Hey Greg, now you've had time to fully assess the water saver has it been worthwhile, plus if at a caravan park, and on mains water, how does the recirculating the water to the tank go? Does the tank over flow via the breather? Thanks.

Hi ya.. yea we still think the water saver is a good addition. We are very seldom on mains water. But have had no problems as the valve is out of the loop when plugged in. I have heard of a small problem with the valve were it momentarily drops pressure and the pump starts for about 1 second.. every few hours. Problem is fixed in new valves..

Hi, great video. We are in Australia and thinking of getting similar. Can I ask how it works with a mixer tap? Do you turn it to full hot then one once turn towards cold and it doesn’t effect the valve ? Thank you 🙏🏻

Yea that is correct, when on full hot nothing comes out of the tap until the water is up to temp, But if you moved the tap back to cold then cold water comes out strait away. hope that helps , Thanks for watching Cheers Greg

Hi there just like know after several years with your water saving valve how are you finding it I did fit one to my Jayco and after 6 months I took it off it was a bit of hit and miss if it wanted to work cheers Glenn

Hi Glen, Its still fitted and we are having no problems with it.. about the only thing is if we have a shower 1 after the other the second person gets a 2 or 3 second burst of cold water for some reason. but other than that its great... did you fit it yourself or get it fitted??
