I disagree with Ndume. They take decision on things without planning first. They think that just making the announcement is the end in itself or the main work. Without planning, you are only planning to fail. They seemed overwhelmed. Planning helps fish out issues and solutions for those issues accounted for during implementation of the plan.

Senator should know most local manufacturers have closed down because the selling prices can not cover to buy the expensive dollar for raw material, thus massive unemployment. Many years ago during IBB and Abacha time, Nigeria had FX allocations to various sectors of the economy at a fix rate, it is much better than today. The problem of today is corruption, where are the dollars from oil? The reason why Naira is falling is because the demand of dollar is high and no supply from corrupt government, period.

I knew the subsidiary remover is the best way forward but was badly implemented but they are trying to help the poor mases but we don't have a system to implement the program. What actionable steps are they going to take to make sure that the vulnerable population get this food stamps. We have seen in time past, what our government did with the Covid-19 palliative, the same goes with the federal government cash transfer program. What we should be talking about is how to tackle inflation and bring back raise the value of the naira.

My friend all those money you regarded as palliative will go back to rich pockets and creates more harm to the economy. The only palliative that will help is to apply that money to selected essential imported goods. Give discounts in terms of duty free to those importers or free duty for certain months or years and in return those goods will come down. This will affect all Nigerians. Secondly, government can temporarily open up importation of certain goods duty free since the locally produced ones are not enough to satisfy citizens. Any other type of palliative is a scan because they can not actually ascertain who is poor and needs true help. Some so many civil servants are really very poor and because they are educated and civil servants they are neglected. These senators should stop sharing money because it is what brought Nigeria to his knees.

Food stamps is a great idea for many very desperate families. Collection centers could be as many as the wards used for the elections and the distribution could be handled by social care assistants and not touts or Agberos. On the matter of the failings of this administration, the explanation given is not tenable. Nigerians brought in APC because they believed it to be more accountable. After the first 8 years the pdp as an opposition has had lessened capacity to operate within the context of a viable opposition. This is undemocratic.

Foreign exchange isn’t the problem. The problem is Nigeria inability to be productive. A country where the GDP is down is zero a country that imports almost about everything, how do you expect to have a strong currency?
