Hi Ashley, It's amazing the progress Izzy has made! When we adopted our child 39 years ago, we were advised by a medical professional to not expect abilities of a 3+ year child, but to look at him as a newborn. That was the best advice we had ever received among the tons of consults we took him to for decades (which was a smart thing since a tumor wasn't found until he was older). He has come a long way and I think a great part of that was the way we dealt with his issues and advocated for him. Keep up the great work with Izzy!!

This Vlog was so much fun!! I love watching Izzy. She had advanced so much!! I remember feeling so bad that she couldn't eat. I would pray all the time that God would heal her, so she could eat. I just felt like she was so robbed in life before you guys got her. It just seem like the orphanage just didn't give her the time and love that she needed, but Praise God she has it now. I just know and feel in my heart that so many great things are going to happen in her life. This is just the beginning of amazement that all of you will see. I hope that we get to see her blossom. Hang on Ashley. She's going to be out walking and shopping with you some day, and Little Mika is going to be blossoming as well. ♥️

Isabelle is such a sweet and funny little girl! I don't think she bumps her face hard enough to hurt herself. Many visually impaired kids have habits like that, but rarely do they actually hurt themselves. LOVE and PRAYERS ALWAYS from Gainesville Florida.❤🙏😊🙏❤

I love this video so much! I am a pediatric OT and have enjoyed seeing Izzy's progress. Watching her in this video makes my heart happy. She clearly feels safe and secure in her body to be able to move and explore her environment! And the feeding progress - WOW! She totally anticipates and opens her mouth for the spoon. Ashley, what a precious video. I haven't been able to watch in the last couple of months. Crazy busy time at work over the holidays, and between work and our own family and plans, I've not gotten to spend time much watching videos like I enjoy. I was so happy and excited to see all the progress Izzy has made! Those precious little feet 😍 I lost my mom 5 years ago on the 18th, and this video made me think of her and smille. She was forever picking things up with her toes from the floor. It was hilarious. I smiled so much watching Izzy, and thinking how much I wish I could share your videos with my mama. She would have adored your family too.

It makes me cry watching how she is growing up with leaps and bounds. I remember seeing those first videos, has it really been that long? Wow love the fact that she can now eat yogurt. I can't even imagine what it means to her to be able to sit and to stand like she does, a whole new world of sensations. Now don't you let anyone tell you what to do, I would like to see them accomplish what you and Stan have accomplished with Izzy together. Not that I think you would let anyone get away with that. Repetitive movements many children do that when there is any "disturbance" in any of the sensory development. I am trying to stay nontechnical/scientific today. It is so good you have helped her find other ways to do such that is less damaging to her body. Me it doesn't bother at all, she is so happy. But then I grew up around children with different abilities (or lack thereof) so in my world it is natural. By the way I love her outfit it is so pretty and practical to boot.

Is her improvement because she goes to therapy so much too. I know she is getting wonderful stimulus from you and your fam but what does the therapy work on.. It is fun to see a little girl that China basically threw away, now thriving. Does she try to feed herself at all? Is there anything that they can do for her blindness? She is going to do so much in the next few years. She is exploring and that is fantastic. I was around alot of autistic kids in the school I taught at. The arms are going and the feet are dancing and she is happy. Good for you mom. Love you guys. I am the policeman's wife in Idaho Falls, and we love you. Hello! No, nothing can be done about her blindness. No, she is not trying to feed herself but I am certain one day she will. ;) Thereapy, she goes to physical and OT and MNRI therapy and is doing really well there! Yes, my son went thru police academy and is now training on the streets and loves it!! Thansk so much for your kind words!

It is such a joy to see her progress. I had a first cousin who was born blind. Though he was normal in most ways he did turn his head about and put his fingers in his eye sockets and turn around and around in the room. He would talk with you though and was very smart .
