Amateur Fisher here: Gotta get a net so that you can pick up the fish without it breaking your line. If it's breaking your line, you need stronger pound tested line --meaning that it is thicker so that the strong pulls from the fish don't break your line. Such a fun adventure to see you guys traverse on together!

Just a suggestion, Yosemite is right there in California if you want to go actual camping. The cool thing about Yosemite is that there’s different difficulty levels: you can go camping in a tent, RV, or cabin! Also they’ve got a little cafeteria, bodega, and camping gear store. You can hike, mountain climb, or go swimming. Went there a couple years ago and had the best time!

Couple tips for next time you guys go fishing: 1) You guys were holding your rods upside down when you were reeling the fish. Reel is supposed to be under the rod lol. 2) I can hear that your drag is really loose which makes it difficult to reel in a fish when it can just pull your line out. So tighten your drag (the knob on top of your reel) but not so tight that a fish can snap your line if it pulls it. 3) From the way your line looks at 11:20 its not that the fish are snapping your line, they are just pulling your knots apart. Look up some fisherman's knots and you will be able to land those fish that keep getting away. Hope that helps you guys in the future! Love the vlog!

If you enjoy looking at constellations or just the stars and night sky in general, Mount Wilson observatory is a great location. North of Pasadena. For favorite constellation, Orion's belt. As a kid, that and the big and little dipper were what I remember most.

When I go fishing with my mate Leslie we take a fishing net connected to a pole to catch the fish. It makes life so much easier to pull out the fish instead of trying to pull up with your fishing rod hence why it would snap.

The rods and reels were fine to use. Maybe using 14-20 lbs fishing line couldve been more useful judging by the size of the blue gill channel cat. If you want, you can use a swivel to have a better grip on the hook so it wont get lost easily. Also use a net when catching fish that way you dont have to use your bare hands and you wont lose it easily. Remember that fishing is not only about what you catch but also the memories you make with or without other people :)

Fishing is super fun, but you always have to remember that if you aren't keeping the fish that you've got to be careful with how to hold/handle them. I'd be cool to see the gang do a guided fishing tour tho and see who can bag the biggest catch!! There's places where you can even go fishing for catfish with nothing but your own arm. Might be too much of a temptation for blau to do something crude mind you.. 👀😂

It's hilarious you guys kept using the rods upside down to reel with your right hand backwards when you could just untwist the the handle to swap sides. It's cool it's y'all's first time and actually hooked fish. Landing them is another skill to learn. Don't give up, fishing is really enjoyable when you get it down.
