Drae ive played a lot of this game and have a good grasp of it. Some advice and this is all important. (Like so he will see this!) 1. Have a lot of grain fields, you need it for houses and animals so that means it will be used up quickly if you dont have enough. 2. When you get pigs be mindful of them because THEY WILL OVERRUN YOU IF YOUR NOT CAREFUL! Seriously they breed like wild fire, so slaughter and keep a stable population of like 10-20 mostly adults and young, old pigs should die for the good of the town so you dont run out of space! 3.Wool Clothing will take over so have enough sheep, goats are okay but you need sheep so if it comes to a war for space prioritize sheep and pigs. Sheep for clothing and pigs because they breed quickly meaning a ton of food. 4. I have about 120 population but it doesnt go as far as you think gathering logs, mining, and animals will take a ton of manpower. 5. Have plenty of religious idols, monolith creations are best since people pray at them and get morale back. 6. Usually if someone is elderly and close to dying they will always have low morale. At least in my experience. 7.Leather matters a lot especially to maintain a fleet of sledges.

Guard towers yes but I havent had to deal with wall problems because i just use them to funnel the raiding party to my hundred strong group of warriors and dogs

I have a population of 110, but everyone refuses to make leather so I have to wait ages to make Carts, its insane since I have 6, but no one uses them, any ideas why?

Do you have the tanning prioritized to get raw skins to the next stage? If thats not an issue do you have the tanners prioritized and are you getting gathering tannin? You need to have a supply of tannin which only occurs during one season? Also make sure you are no longer making any form of leather clothes. Once you have wool and flax all that happens with leather clothes is those eat resources for other things. If you have carts and they are not being used its because you dont have donkeys to pull them, carts require animals to work unlike sledges.

Fun fact of the day: American Indians learned that eating other humans causes insanity. This is because ingesting human nervous tissue (which is all through the body) could potentially cause you to eat a tissue called a Prion, which are tissues with protein molecules that have been folded improperly. If a human ingests a Prion, it will start replicating itself inside that person and take over their nervous system. You can select multiple trees in an area by double clicking them. Also I would say to alert your people and let them go inside before closing the gates.
